the real question is who would want to live forever atleast in our fallen human nature. cause i know i never would

but if Adam never sinned we would have lived forever, here, not in heaven, right?

with God, HERE , not in another life.

the price has been paid, no?

?
Actually, Adam and Eve lived in Paradise which is separate from Earth. So no, we wouldn’t have lived ‘here’, forever.

Here’s another thing which may help.

Suppose you’re playing baseball, you hit the ball and without meaning to, you break somebody’s window. You apologize, you are forgiven, but even if the person agrees not to charge you for repair of the window –the window is still broken. There is an effect that exists even though the ‘price has been paid’.

And also, death seems scary and unpleasant, but (as a mother of three), hon, BIRTH seems scary and unpleasant, and I guarantee the children are probably not enjoying it much either. But oh, the joy when your child enters the world! But imagine how it would be if the children never came out of the womb. They wouldn’t enjoy the fullness of earthly life, and mom (and even dad) wouldn’t enjoy life much either.

In death we are going from a beautiful but sometimes imperfect and even uncomfortable world to a place of perfect happiness and everlasting joy. It might be scary to contemplate ‘before’ it happens, but after it happens you wonder why you worried.
