It may well be that drinking the still-warm blood of freshly-killed babies also would lengthen a man’s life - doesn’t mean in a million years that it would be made legal, even if it were positively proven to be the case.
Surely the morality or legality of an act cannot be determined solely by whether it lengthens someone’s life or not! And surely in moral terms the heinousness of murder, and the mockery of both the sacrament and secular institution of marriage (which until recent decades was NEVER defined by pretty much any legislature as anything other than union between a man and a woman) outweighs any alleged health benefits.

If you read Genesis you will see that God created woman for man. The sexual difference is for the propagation of children. The Church is aware of this.
Jesus did not say, a man must leave his parents and cling to another man and become one with another man,
said, “Have you not read that from the beginning, the creator made them male and female and this is why a man must leave father and mother, and cling to his wife, and the two become one body? They are no longer two, therefore, but one body. So, then, what God has united, man must not divide.” [Matthew 19:4-6]
Right from the beginning, God said in Genesis 2:24 says, “A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”
The Church cannot go against God, or Jesus.

If this were true of gay cohabitation, that it lengthened a person’s life, it would be a case of what Jesus meant when he said, what benefit would it be if a person gained the whole world, and lost his soul.
However, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church says, homosexuality is a form of disorder. Any psychological disorder is by definition unhealthy, and having a gay lover would be more likely, if it did have an effect on a person’s lifespan, to shorten a person’s life.

Here are a couple logical arguments against this:
Argument #1: OK, marriage lengthens a man’s life. Marriage is the union of a man and woman and therefore gay marriage is not proven to lengthen a man’s life.\
Argument #2: If marriage lengthens a man’s life and it were proven that a gay “marriage” were also to lengthen a man’s life then maybe they could legalize gay “marriages” but not lesbian “marriages” which would break several all kinds of civil rights laws and probably constitutional amendments. It woudl also upset NOW and other such groups.
Argument #3: There is no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage is by definition a religious institution and well…check your Bible.
