think with your own mind, not what you have been led to think and trained to think. read Scripture. What sarcasm?
I am truly sorry that you cannot deal with the truth about your hero. The man had feet of clay.

John 21 25 But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.think with your own mind, not what you have been led to think and trained to think. read Scripture.
This is the classic response of one who is trapped in the heresy of Sola Scriptura. You need to expand your mind and perhaps re-familarize yourself with what the Church really teaches. It sounds as though you were poorly catechised when you were a Catholic. Read dosdog’s post.think with your own mind, not what you have been led to think and trained to think. read Scripture.
Where in Scripture does it say that the faithful can leave the Church and start a new one? It doesn’t. Jesus prayed that we all be one as He and the Father are one. What difference does it make? Luther believed and taught that a person only needs Christ to be saved. I was born and raised Catholic and remained so for decades. I left the RCC a few years ago and my experience with grace and with God has made me believe and stake my soul and eternal life on Jesus Christ alone. When it all comes down, what do you stake your soul upon? Jesus Christ and his promise or the Roman Catholic church and its doctrines?
no actually I was catechised well as a cradle Catholic. Just because I don’t believe or agree with Catholicism doesn’t necessarily mean that I was poorly taught it or that I didn’t learn it well. And where did you get the sola scriptura thing from? If what you practice and believe to be true doesn’t square with Scripture, it certainly doesn’t mean that the one who believes it to be wrong is surely Sola Scriptura. Come on. This isn’t apologetics 101.This is the classic response of one who is trapped in the heresy of Sola Scriptura. If you were truly well-taught, then you would not have fallen into apostasy. If you had truly been well-taught, then you would have seen the truth of the Catholic faith and not have abandoned it.no actually I was catechised well as a cradle Catholic. That is truly only your opinion and your belief. I was Catholic from the womb for three and a half decades. I was a well taught and sound practicing Catholic. No need to believe that I fell away just because. If you were truly well-taught, then you would not have fallen into apostasy. Montanism- , apocalyptic movement of the 2d cent. It arose in Phrygia (c.172) under the leadership of a certain Montanus and two female prophets, Prisca and Maximillia, whose entranced utterances were deemed oracles of the Holy Spirit. They had an immediate expectation of Judgment Day, and they encouraged ecstatic prophesying and strict asceticism. They believed that a Christian fallen from grace could never be redeemed. Prisca claimed that Christ had appeared to her in female form. When she was excommunicated, she exclaimed “I am driven away like the wolf from the sheep. I am no wolf: I am word and spirit and power.”That is truly only your opinion and your belief. I was Catholic from the womb for three and a half decades. If you want a moderator you should hit the little red triangle on the upper right of a post you find offensive.Moderator, moderator, wherefore art thou moderator?
Thank you…I will pass this on to my friend.
I didn’t ask the question, but, I can only proffer a guess as to the line of reasoning. ‘If Luther left the Church, but he got married, either 1) He got married in a Catholic Church, 2) An Eastern Church, 3) He took some priest or somebody with him before he got married.’ Each one of these raises more questions, which would then cast doubts on one’s faith and knowledge. Fortunately the question has been answered that he did none of the above. (Secular Civil Ceremony would not have been one of my guesses; I just would not have reasoned that one out if this were my question.)I’m not offensed by the question. But I’m still confused as to where you’re headed with the question.
I am greatful for what you offer of truth, i am not good schollar, could you please direct me to where i can study an unbiased source of Luthers life.Luther left before he was formally kicked out. Even then, had ne recanted on most of is issues, he would have been welcomed back into the Church. He was given every chance to do so. There is no such thing as a permanant excommunication: if the person repents and makes amends, they are let back into the Church.
Nothing that Luther taught was the truth. Nothing. He saw an abuse that was limited in scope and geography and used it as a launching point for multiple heresies. Had he truly been interested in reforming the Church, he would have stuck to the one issue and not tried to destroy the Catholic Faith.
From repentance My Father can make as the sword was never swung, for Him all is possible.Nothing that Luther taught was the truth
From the beginning we see that God tries everything to bring man into obedience to Him.You are either in the mercy and grace of God or you are not. One with a relationship with our Lord realizes that and also realizes that God is not some puppetier or on again off again disciplinarian. Many things about God are truly a mystery, a few prove not be.
Judas spent as much time with Jesus as the others and look what happened. Judas never got it.That is truly only your opinion and your belief. how do you know he didn’t get it?? The criminal next to Jesus didn’t get it until the very end.Judas spent as much time with Jesus as the others and look what happened. Judas never got it.

You know what they say…“Love is BLIND”I know Luther was wrong. I know he is a heretic. Just was curious who would marry such a man back then.
