Very touching, thank you. I’ll offer some humor and tell you my favorite Christmas joke:
How would things have been different if the three wise men had been three wise women?
Answer:
They would have cleaned the stable, cooked a casserole, and brought sensible gifts. 🙂

I also heard that they would have asked directions and arrived sooner 🙂
 
I heard that there is some historical evidence that one of the three wise men might actually have been a woman.

If so, she probably brought the gold. Now that I think about it - gold is always a “sensible” gift.🙂

I think there’s a children’s Christmas picture book called “The Three Wise Women,” a fictionalized harmless little take on the Nativity.

I personally have some doubt about the story of the “Three Wise Men.” Supposedly they came from Persia which is modern day Iran. For the sake of discussion, let’s say they started in what is now Tehran. The distance from Tehran to Bethlehem is a about 975 miles, give or take. Traveling by camel caravan they would be lucky if they could make 10 miles a day which means it would have taken them over three months to get to Bethlehem.

I’m sure Joseph, Mary, and Jesus would have been long gone by then. 🤷

Firstly there is nothing to indicate that the Magi only began their journey after Christ was born - they may have started much earlier.

Secondly, remember Herod ordeed children aged 2 and under to be killed. Sounds like the child he and the Magi sought was not necessarily a newborn or near newborn.
 
Also, In Matthew 2 it says they found the Holy Family in a house, not a stable. So they had been there long enough to find proper lodgings.
