=VeritasLuxMea;9349766]I think more and more every day that I am going to Hell (if it exists) so that is why this is so important to me. If I’m going to Hell for my own sins then** I can accept that**.
But it really bothers me to think that God knew what would happen to me and chose to create me anyway. Why couldn’t he have created me to go to Heaven? Or at least not create me in the first place?
I apologize. Today is not a good day. I am very angry with God. 😦
MY FRIEND WHAT A STRANGE UNDERSTADING YOU HAVE:o

GOD DOES NOT DECIDE WHERE HUMANITY WILL SPEND ETERNITY; WE; YOU AND ME DO. DON’T BLEME GOD FOR YOUR OWN FREEWILL DECISIONS.🤷

KNOWING SOMETHING IS NOT CAUSING IT.

If you have questions about the CC I can answer them for you. Send me a private message.

Your just “buck passing” in blaming God for what God permits OUT of LOVE for us.

God Bless,
pat/PJM

PJM,

Well said. He needs to take responsibility for his own actions instead of passing the buck.

Your birth is not just about you. It is also about your parents, your grandparents, and everyone since Adam and Eve who laid down a sacrifice to safeguard a legacy and provide for and raise children. Who is to say that our parents should have been denied the blessing of motherhood and fatherhood because of your decisions. Who is to say your future children should not be born. To say that God should have prevented you from being born because He knew about your bad decisions, sounds a little too much like the abortion advocates who want to prune out babies for being imperfect. God created us to love and serve Him. If you choose not to love and serve Him here on earth, ask yourself why would you want to love and serve Him in heaven? I think you feel drawn to God and that is why you are here.

Remember, God does not predestine people for hell. You dont know that you are going to Hell. You may think so, but you dont know the Judgement of God until it happens. If you feel like your going down, then that is your conscience telling you to make things right. The Catholic faith offers reconcilliation, and you can recieve it any day of the week if you so choose. If you do not choose to reconcile yourself with God and His Church, you have no right to be angry with Him. This is about your conscious choice that you make every day as you refuse to reconcile your past and present. Since you are alive, there is still time for you to make things right.

God Love You

But then we are not free to choose anything,
Why?
no more than a rock or a grain of sand is free to do so. Right?
Wrong.
If God knows what we will do before He creates us, then His act of *creation *is an act of volition. He knows what we will do, then creates us to do it… we don’t have a choice in the matter.
Do you know what God knows? Let’s try three examples.
  1. Just for argument’s sake, say that you know that God wants you to go to heaven? What will you do? Will you obey His Commandments?
Here’s what the Word of God says:
1 Timothy 2:4
King James Version (KJV)
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

So, I’ll see you there. You now know that God wants you to go to heaven.
  1. Let’s look at it a different way. Say that God wants you to go to hell. What will you do? Will you go there willingly? Not me. I’d keep all the Commandments and make Him explain and justify why I’m in there.
  2. But now lets look at real ife. Do you know that you are going to go to heaven or hell? No, you don’t. So, what are YOU going to do? Make the choice to be good and stick to it.
Romans 6:16
King James Version (KJV)
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
It would be like running an anti-virus program on your computer and then saying, “well, it was free to choose to display a video or play a video game, etc.” No it wasn’t. The anti-virus program was built for the purpose of detecting and removing viruses, it can’t do anything other than that.
Are you a mindless anti-virus program? No. You’re a human being with free will to do righteousness or to do evil. Make up your mind and go with it.
So is it true that our fate is pre-determined, then? That we are all actors and actresses on the stage, unwillingly performing a play written by God?
God wills all men be saved. He pointed you in that direction. It is up to you to follow through.

Back to the program analogy. God wrote a program which would take you to heaven. The enemy snuck in a virus. Jesus gave us the anti-virus program. It is up to you to run that anti-virus program frequently and thereby cleanse your soul and be saved.

Sincerely,

De Maria

God loves you. We love you. What you choose to do matters.

Let’s say we go on an improv show. Drew Carey picks you and me and two other people, gives us a bunch of props, and tells us to act out a party at Goldilocks’ house, and you get to be the Bear family, and I get to be the Three Little Pigs. Nobody else would act those parts exactly the same way as you and I, or use the same props to do it. Drew Carey is giving us stuff to do, but not controlling how we do it.

Now, let’s say that Drew Carey is secretly God. Before we were ever born, he’s already watched the tapes of our improv skit… But he still didn’t control what we chose to do; he gave us prompts which allowed us to choose our own path.

Now, of course Drew Carey does have the power to buzz an end to the skits whenever he wants. Since he’s secretly God, he knows the most perfect moment to do so. But he still doesn’t control what we do within the improv skit.

And he doesn’t want to. Because he gave us free will, and because free will and improv are more fun for everyone than robots reading out a script.

According to Catholic teaching, does it accurately describe the “end of the world” or not?
It depends on the following: What definition of “world” are you using?
If so, then how can man have free will?
Given that we all have the same law written on our hearts. The question becomes: what degree of Holiness will we seek to achieve? And when one freely chooses to grow in perfect oneness with the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ, there will be an apocalypse of the unholy spirit within, which gives life to the Holy Spirit within. In doing so, the revelation of the mysteries of Jesus Christ will be made known to the person.
Why couldn’t he have created me to go to Heaven? Or at least not create me in the first place?
He did create you for Heaven, just as He did everyone. Unfortunately, on earth He must grant everyone the opportunity to decide what we will do with free will knowing that the pinnacle of living is His Greatest Commandments: Always freely choosing to be and spreading the means to freely be perfectly patient, kind, and motivated with all the body, spirit, thoughts, and will equally towards others and the self for the experience of happiness without anyone ever losing any peace. In doing so, some of us will choose to be very impatient and mean, which will cause great disturbance, unhappiness, misery, and pain in society. If you are being treated with great impatience and meanness by others, my friend, I am dearly sorry. This not God’s desire at all. And try to remember that He showed us how horribly the world will treat His Followers in His Crucifixion. Try to continually embrace the cross of being patient and kind especially in the face of unjust impatience and meanness, so that you will be a restorer, maintainer, and builder of peace and happiness, just as our God, Jesus Christ does.

…then what gives with John’s Apocalypse?

According to Catholic teaching, does it accurately describe the “end of the world” or not?

If so, then how can man have free will?

if not, then what is its relevance?
We cannot see into the future. We can only live moment by moment, not in the past or future. God obviously can “see” into the future.

Is John’s revelation an accurate description of events? I don’t know, no one knows by their own account. Was it meant to be 100% spiritually inspired truth of accurate events in the end times? Can’t help you with that, either. Will there be an end time? We are promised that there will be. A new heaven AND a new earth. Noah had his flood. We will have our fire.
