I’m in a struggle right now, with my studies. & this Math course that I’m taking has given me trouble, I’ve had to retake it a number of times & right now I feel like I could pass …but I’m still not grasping the material, & apart from my studies …my life is not where I’d like it to be, I feel like an outcast compared to most people, & I fear that I’m at a really low point.

My dear patron Fathers, especially Blessed John Henry Newman, please pray for this intention.

St.Joseph of Cupertino, pray for this student.

Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom!

Pour forth your brilliance upon our dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance.

Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself.

Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion.

This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever.

Amen.

Dear Lord please enlighten LittleFoot’s understanding of the math concepts that will enable passing the course.
Please bless LittleFoot with recognition of preciousness in Your sight,
and patience with the particular pace that suits his/her personal progress.
It can take longer to launch a ship than a canoe!
Thanking You in hope.

I feel your pain! I had the same problem with probability and statistics back in the day…praying for you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art thou amoungst women,
and blessed Is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now
And at the hour of death, Amen:signofcross:

Prayer to Our Lady for College Students

O Mary, Seat of Wisdom, so many persons of common intellect have made through thy intercession admirable progress in their studies. I hereby choose thee as guardian and patron of my studies. I humbly ask thee to obtain for me the grace of the Holy Spirit, so that from now on I could:
  • understand more quickly,
  • retain more readily, and
  • express myself more fluently.
May the example of my life serve to honor thee and thy Son, Jesus.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular LittleFoot), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Please remember that you are always loved and accepted by God. You are exactly how He created you. Don’t feel badly about yourself because you don’t conform to their standards. You’re unique!

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Don’t let one class influence your view of yourself- it is ultimately God’s view of us the IS what matters. Address one concern at a time - struggles with a math class. Have you asked the instructor for help before or after class- or do you know of someone in your class that would be willing to help? Take one step at a time. I will pray for you and know that regardless of this class you are important to our Loving Lord.
In my prayers,
mlz
