I’ve asked God to grant you the virtues of purity, chastity, and fortitude as you engage in this battle.

St. Margaret of Cartona is interceding on your behalf at the feet of Our Lord, as well.

It’s day 12 and I have to say that this is perhaps the first time that I have gone so many days without falling into the sin of masturbation. I want to thank all of you for your prayers. TLM08’s practical advice was very useful.

However, despite the fact that I have “abstained” I have not been very successful in keeping my mind pure. Impure thoughts still come so easily and freely and I indulge in them, but thanks be to God that I have not taken the next step of masturbation. I have realized that it harms my body and drains out my energy.

I have not been to confession since a long time. I just don’t feel like going. So I’m still in the state of mortal sin. I don’t feel very close to God. I’ve lost interest in life.

Please keep me in your prayers.

You’ll be in my prayers long after the 15 days are up. Please go to confession. Of course you don’t feel like it; you’re under attack, which affects your feelings. Go anyway. Go once a week if you have to. Go even if you feel like God can’t possibly forgive you because there’s a good chance you’ll fall again. Forget your feelings or lack of. Feelings can come from anywhere. Lethargy isn’t from God. Think logically instead: you’ll receive grace from the Sacrament of Reconciliation and afterwards you can receive Communion, which will give you lots more grace to resist temptation. Go! Go to Mass today and ask the priest if he can hear your confession before or after Mass. Go!

I would like to second FickleFreckled’s advice.

I’m still praying for you.

I have fallen again. I am really sorry to disappoint you people.

*Begin again…
and yes go to confession it really will help. [The first confession may be the most difficult one… but keep going and you will draw many graces]
Above all Don’t give up you have many many people praying for you.
how many days was it this time??? You made progress… keep it up… Don’t allow discouragement to prevent you from trying again… God loves you and waits for you…

Praying to St Benedict and St Michael to help and protect you.*

You have fallen, but simply get back up my brother. You can do this … it can be done. I will continue to pray for you. Stay close to Jesus and the sacraments. Pray. Confession is a great gift that is waiting there for you to accept. God bless. Keep posting on CAF, we are here to support you and pray for you.

Sinfulman,
Look at your topic line. “If someone can pray for me…I will be free.” You’re already free. You have been all along. Jesus died to give you freedom. It’s yours. All you have to do to claim it is use your strength and God’s abundant grace to keep your mind, your eyes and your hands busy doing something productive. When you fall, you’re refusing the freedom Jesus won for you. It’s hard. But many, many people have fought and conquered much more difficult addictions. Prayer warriors can pray for you all day every day but if you don’t use the helps you have at your disposal - frequent confession and reception of the Eucharist - then you’ll find it so much more difficult to get yourself out of the cycle, regardless of the prayers of others.

I have fallen very badly

I’ve observed that whenever people pray for me, I do well. It had happened earlier. Some of you prayed for me and I did so well during that time.

I just feel that if someone does it for 15 continous days, I’ll be totally healed from this problem.
Rest assured, you’ll be in many people’s prayer, and I will pray for strength in your soul, but if this is your cross, you must endure to the end. If this is your cross, it won’t be gone with just our prayers. So please, I ask you, persevere until the end.

Pray to the Holy Spirit (as an intercessor)

Come Holy Spirit, fill my heart with
Your holy gifts.
Let my weakness be penetrated with
Your strength this very day that I may
fulfill all the duties
of my state conscientiously,
that I may do what is right and just.

Let my charity be such as to offend no one,
and hurt no one’s felling; so generous
as to pardon sincerely an wrong doing to me.

Assist me, O Holy Spirit,** in all my trials**,
enlighten me in my ignorance, advise me
in my doubts, strengthen me in my weakness,
help me in all my needs, protect me in
temptations and console me in afflictions
.
Graciously hear me, O Holy Spirit, and
pour Your light into my hearts, my soul
and my mind.

Assist me to live a holy life and to grow in
goodness and grace.
me in affliction
AMEN.

…pray for strength

Passion of Christ, Strengthen Me!
Strengthen me under the pressure of temptation.
Strengthen me when principle is at stake.
Strengthen me to do your will, My God.
Strengthen me in moments of suffering,
in times of loneliness, in periods of depression.
Strengthen me that I may never swerve from
You, Dear Christ, nor weaken through human
respect, through a desire to be popular, through
hope of social distinction.
Strengthen me to accept my cross and carry
it generously to the end.
On the battlefield of life, stand by me
that I may never prove a traitor in the ranks.
Stand by me that I may not be dazzled by the
glitter and glow of the enemy camp.
Let me not deceive myself…
I know what I am considering is wrong.
Let me not be swept away by its immediate
attraction.

God the Father, watch over me.
Christ our Lord, strengthen me.
The Holy Spirit, live in me.
Eternal Father, who through Thy beloved Son
dost teach us ever to pray, “Thy kingdom
come,” grant us, O Lord, through his most
Sacred Heart, the grace of final perseverance
in Thy love, that having with entire devotion
promoted the glory of that Sacred Heart on earth
we may share the more intimate favors
of its love for all eternity.
AMEN AMEN AMEN.

There is a particular rosary call “The 15 Mysteries of the Eucharistic Rosary” left to us by Josefa Menendez which is particularly percing in its meditation, please read this and if your interested in reciting the entire chaplet (the sorrowful mystery - contact me and I’ll get it for you to pray entirely.)

**The Crowning with Thorns **(3rd sorrowful mystery)

make the sign of the cross, and say the following and meditate where you most feel compelled to.]
Jesus and Mary, I unite myself to your close union with your Heavenly Father, and to your boundless love for one another and for us in this mystery.
I unite myself to all the masses
being offered all over the world.
At each Consecration, O Virgin Mother
and dear St. Joseph, present me and all you
would have me pray for, to Jesus at every
moment of His crowning with thorns.
Gather up the Precious Blood flowing
down from each wound in His thorn-crowned Head,
every instand of the agonizing ache of that majestic HEad,
of His agonized Heart; all His infinite merits, love, and
sufferings. Offer them for us to our Eternal Father in
each of the following Eucharistic Hail Marys to render
Him
  1. INFINITE GLORY AND LOVE
  2. INFINITE THANKSGIVING for all the glory
you rendered Him at every moment by your loving
    thoughts;
for the glory with which He has now crowned You both,
in heaven and on earth; and for all
the times the guilt of our sinful thoughts has been
blotted out by the Precious Blood shed for us applied
    in the Sacrament of Penance;
  3. INFINITE ATONEMENT for all the proud, selfish, impure, angry,
    envious thoughts that have defiled our souls; every thought of ours that prierced and pained the holy Head our loving Savior more than the thorns which which He was crowned;
  4. INFINITE PETITION that having been purified in His Precious Blood, we may henceforth render Jesus and Mary all the loving reparations our sinful thoughts deprived Them of in the past.
Reign, Jesus and Mary, over all our thoughts, and over those
souls we carry to You daily in our minds and in our hearts.
[Say 10 Hail Mary’s & then the sign of the cross]

If you want to pray the entire Sorrowful Mystery, please leave me a message I can point it out to you.

Like I said, I will pray for you, but don’t stop praying fervently for intercession, this is a heavy cross to bear, but not impossible to overcome, look to St. Augustine who had the same cross and I’m sure there are other saints who like you looked and put their cross in Christ hands to persevere. Take Courage, you are not alone, and above all you are loved. So persevere!!!:knight2:

How could you disappoint us??? We are all standing beside you because we understand what it is to be tempted and to fail. We all rely on God’s grace to make it through each day and none of us is perfect. Don’t be so hard on yourself – you are forgivable and lovable! Take a look at what you accomplished through the grace of God!!! Recognize that Satan is not one to take defeat lightly. Every day you succeeded, he redoubled his efforts to bring you down. But he has not won because you are still committed to winning this. It is not over yet!!!

I’m sorry I am only now seeing this prayer request. I’m starting a Miraculous Novena of Grace for you in this thread. I hope others will join me in saying it.

Bless you!

The Miraculous Novena of Grace
Prayer to Saint Francis Xavier

Most amiable and most loving Saint Francis Xavier, in union with thee I reverently adore the Divine Majesty. I rejoice exceedingly on account of the marvelous gifts which God bestowed upon thee. I thank God for the special graces He gave thee during thy life on earth and for the great glory that came to thee after thy death. I implore thee to obtain for me, through thy powerful intercession, the greatest of all blessings–that of living and dying in the state of grace. I also beg of thee to secure for me the special favor I ask in this novena: Please bless SinfulMan with the grace he needs to overcome his addiction and to be united to You. In asking this favor, I am fully resigned to the Divine Will. I pray and desire only to obtain that which is most conducive to the greater glory of God and the greater good of my soul.

V. Pray for us, Saint Francis Xavier.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

O God, Who didst vouchsafe, by the preaching and miracles of Saint Francis Xavier, to join unto Thy Church the nations of the Indies, grant, we beseech Thee, that we who reverence his glorious merits may also imitate his example, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

3 Our Father’s and 3 Hail Mary’s in memory of Saint Francis Xavier’s devotion to the Most Holy Trinity, and Glory be to the Father 10 times in thanksgiving for the graces received during his 10 years of apostleship.

I have fallen very badly into porn once again. Some external pressures on me caused me to seek this escape route. I had not watched porn since a long time, but yesterday evening I fell so badly into it that the effect continued till today and I couldn’t stop myself from indulging in hours of porn.

I’ve observed that whenever people pray for me, I do well. It had happened earlier. Some of you prayed for me and I did so well during that time.

I just want to ask a favour. Can someone pray for me 15 days in a row? I know it’s a big favour that I am asking and I also know that I will never be able to repay you for doing it. But I will pray that God may reward you and bless you.

I just feel that if someone does it for 15 continous days, I’ll be totally healed from this problem. I’ve never gone without masturbating for 15 days ever since I fell into it in my childhood years. If I can do it for 15 days, I’ll get the confidence I need to overcome this problem any time in the future.
:blessyou: Definitelly am and will. Great idea to ask us to pray for you. A couple more key ideas, because I and others have been there: Go to coneddion to a priest, explain the problem briefly. He can give key advice to break the habit. And you’ll be clean start, with Absolution. Also, more contact with the Mass and Church. And when the urge hits, recognize it, and (a) ask What would Jesus want me to do, (b) Think of someone else to pray for, someone really needing Prayer, even years ago, and pray for Them. :gopray2:

My dear, dear, brother

So you have fallen once again? So did Our Lord fall three times on His way to the Crucifixion.

Follow his example.

Get back up, and continue your journey to purity.
