If someone is called "Blessed" does that mean he isn't a Saint?

I thought Miguel Pro was a Saint because his story is included in my children’s book of Saints but I noticed he is called Blessed Miguel Pro. Does that mean he isn’t a Saint (yet) ?

Isn’t that the stage before being declaired a Saint? Like Mother Theresa, she is now known as blessed.

Your right! The title “blessed” is given to those who have been beatified… usually just a step to canonization. Being beatified means the church recognizes that the person CAN intercede for us.

One difference is the amount of miracles. Only one is needed for beatification. And the “blesseds” aren’t venerated through out the Church… I think only in special places can a mass be said in honor of a blessed
but once a saint it pretty much all over the church.

I hope I made sense in any of that. 😃
