God has ordained that Islam would exist on earth. God’s descisions are not avalaible for me to analyze.

Lets say ‘IF’.
What would it have been like?
Guess just wondering!

Heh… I don’t know. Depends on a lot of things.
Well, life wouldn’t be as interesting wouldn’t it? I guess the arabic and some malaysian parts of the world would have either succumbed to paganism, or Catholicism…who knows. God’s mind is far above ours…

Yeah I think they would have probably just remained a wishy-washy mixture of heretic Christians, pagans and whatever else for quite a while afterward, without there being anything to forcefully roll all the smaller heresies into one larger one. I think eventually something similar would have filled the void inevitably.

Islam did not invent war. Muslims were the victims of the Crusades not their perpetrators.

if islam did not exist then there would be nothing known about it which leaves the pondering in a state of question itself.

doesn’t exist ,we wouldn’t know, end of question:rolleyes:

Okay what if it was wiped off the face of the planet? Not genocide mind you, just a sudden every single muslim giving up their faith.

You know guys this thread doesnt lead to anything. Dont waste your time on it . Islam is a faith that affects people life enormously . People change drasticly when they deeepens their knowledge about Islam . Personally it happened to me . I am a revert to my own faith. I didnt know anything about Islam and the world seemed nonesense to me . Untill i began to read more and i had no question that this is the truth. It answered all my questions with no exceptions. From my experience as someone who wasnt in any way observant to some one who began to deapen his faith , i can say it is very hard for a muslim who unerstands his faith to leave Islam.

At least this is my point of view.

I thank God everyday that he made me muslim. It just make sense.

Peace

Peace, Anyway, is it true the Qu’uran was passed on orally for a hundred or so years and then written down? My friend who is the son of a Bosnian Muslim Leader told me. Funny how the Gospel took only 20 or so years to write…Shookron.

Off-the-top-of-my-head reaction to the question: We’d all be a lot happier

Matt25:
Islam did not invent war.
It does, however, make a point of practising it as one of its central tenets.

And why is that, exactly? Because everyone would be untited in one faith, or because you think that Islam is the reason for all the problems in the world, as your second statement would seem to indicate?
It does, however, make a point of practising it as one of its central tenets.
Hmph. As have many religions thorughout the ages. Christianity was not spread peacefully in many places as you (should) know. Our wn Bible is a collection of many violent stories. Statements like yours do nothing except help continue the same biggoted attitude toward another faith that has been seen throughout the ages.

I think meedo has put it well:

Although I believe the original poster was well-intentioned in posting what he saw as an honest question for intellectual discussion, and I am gratified that several non-Muslim posters were quick to refute uncharitable posts by others of their own Faith, this thread offers too many opportunities to bring out the worst in folks who are hung up on stereotypes and generalization.

The thread is closed.

Teaching children to hate all infidels is hardly a religion but more the crux of terrorism. It is not the only one true God that these people are praising when they or their cohorts perpertrate acts of violence but rather the adversary of God. Committing violent acts in His name which God himself is vehemently opposed to is the epitome of evil. For them to attempt to draw parallels betweem Islam and Christianty would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic.
