You might have received a better response if you had written up your philosophical thoughts on the matter. I’m not well-studied in philosophy, so how about explaining it in simple terms to me?
Woe is me thinking i could actually have a philosophical discussion. I mean if scientists are asking that question it isn’t such an outrageous idea is it.
Are you defining simulation and computer or are you using language as a partial analogy or a partial metaphor? Where do your boundaries come from? Your power of discretion, initiative, judgment, taste? Are you smuggling in the “design argument” by the back door?
