Here’s a speculative moral scenerio:let’s say space travel is feasible and we find Earth like planets and all and we find a planet thats inhabited by “primitive” beings like the Na’vi in Avatar.Even with centuries of hindsight is there any way we could “responsibly” colonize a planet where both our species could peacefully co-exist with both of us being able to feasibly support huge populations like in the billions range (you know,if the planet is similar to Earth’s proportions and all) without resorting to genocide, war, discrimination and all the desolation that comes with them during this process.Or by doing that would it not be colonization technically anymore b/c colonization has such a negative undertone?.
What if the species were “advanced”,accepted us on to their planet but made us undergo a just and reasonable equivalent of an immigrant naturalization process.Could we still pull off transferring like at most a million of us without doing ending up doing something stupid like genocide, war, discrimination to that planet’s inhabiting species in the process?
