Plain and simple…If women did not exist, you my dear, would not be here. Our Lord God Almighty created Man and Woman for a reason. :amen:

On a more serious note though, I would say that it’s important for men to find healthy and complementary (ie. pure) relationships with women. When the person you mention experiences the joy of fully relating to the opposite sex, he would take back all that he has said in an instant.

God bless,

Very well said.

The bible tells us that God made man first but didn’t want man to be alone so He made woman to be the man’s companion. God intended for the man/woman relationship to be holy and good.
It’s critical that one chooses a mate who is virtuous and trying to lead a holy life.
Of course, there seems to be much confusion about the roles of men and women in American culture and that may play some part in the distress for certain men and women.
Orthodox Jews for example have more clearly defined roles for the husband and wife. Family life seems to function well because the religious/cultural expectations are known.
As Catholics, we don’t have such defined roles and that can cause confusion for some. That is why it is important when choosing a girlfriend/spouse to really come to know the person’s belief system about family life and the roles of men and women.
Men and women can certainly be happily joined together in marriage. But what you choose is what you get. If a man marries a “party” girl, then he shouldn’t be surprised if she likes to go out to parties and have a wild time. That’s not to say that people cannot change but a man shouldn’t be surprised if a wild woman brings him trouble whereas a virtuous woman brings him happiness.

I once heard an adult religious ed teacher say that even though Eve took the apple from the serpent (devil), he wondered why a good husband like Adam didn’t intervene in protecting Eve from the serpent. The point being that both men and women can make mistakes. :tiphat:

Someone once told me that things in the world would had been better if women didn’t exist, so that there would be no porn, no pregnacies, no false charges of rape, no infidelity, and so on. That and the centuries old deep seated feuds that take place twixt the two genders. And you know how hard it may be for a male and a female roomate to stay platonic. After all, the bible used mostly male pronouns. At first, I didn’t give stuff like that a lot of credence… Some people just have different viewpoints, but I thought that was just a lot of guff. What do you think?
As you can see, all I was doing was quoting what a friend of mine had said, and I said it was a lot of guff. If I had offended everyone, PLEASE forgive me. I ain’t anti female nor anti sex. Anti lust, greed and violence but not anti sex.

Why only American culture? It’s the same with the rest of the world…😦

777 is a liberal taking the piss out of what he/she sees a religiouse fundamentalists.

Actually I think it’s men who are more evil. How many female paedophiles, rapists, murderers are there? How many? There ismuch more of God women than in men as far as I can tell. Us guys are often inadequate, pathetic, grubby, needy animals… we’re lucky that women even tolerate us.

Havent been keeping up with the news lately have you;)

To say one is more evil than the other is simply silly. All men and women are accountable for thier own lives. I have been hurt aplenty, but though some good self examination and alot of prayer, I have discovered the truth that my daddy told me all along. We all make the bed we lie in.

I discovered that I, through some very poor choices, am the one that put myself through all that suffering.

If we all lived by Christ’s Teachings, and chose our spouses accordingly, we would have no problems. We could be sure that we were marrying a morally sound, Christ-like individual.

Yeah, I just said that whatever situations in life have hurt you is your own fault. Just thought I would clarify that for those that missed it. 😉

Some here will get angry by this, but it doesn’t change the truth in it. IF they at sometime examine their series of choices, based on thier beliefs at the time they made them, they, just as I did, will see the error of their ways.

I suppose you’re right 777. I haven’t lived in other parts of the world so was speaking for what I have observed in this country.
You haven’t offended me and I don’t think you are anti-female.
It is an interesting topic that says a lot about the frustration with gender roles/or lack of in our modern times.

God bless you. 👋

I accept that when I was raped it was my fault. I put myself in the situation and lived a permiscuous lifestyle.

However, when a man rapes a child the child cannot be blamed. When someone is grabbed off the street and raped it is not their fault. When an elderly person has their house broken into and is raped, it is not thier fault.

Try not to see the world through so narrow a lens.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to repeat something I heard from somewhere ages ago: often what attracts first, puts off later. A guy may be attracted to a loose woman because he thinks he’s going to have it easy, but sooner or later he realises that the presumption that things would be normal after pairing up with her was a naive one. If it’s all about sexual attractivity, well, if she’s a tease, she will still attract men and men will still follow the urge. Someone will always be sexier than you. Or wealthier. Or whatever is the happy turn on.

Oy Vey. 777 do us all a favor and click the little x at the upper right hand corner of your screen. Why don’t you try not telling us what you think the Bible says and go read it. Quit wasting the time of nice people who are here to help people who truly want to listen, not just spout a bunch of nonsense.

If there were no women in the world, the world would be worse off, with them being usually peacemakers, homemakers, organizers, etc,
and keeping the macho men in check.

Plus we would have to keep looking over our shoulder, know what I mean,:bigyikes: or in other words if you drop a penny on the ground, don’t dare pick it up.:o

It is very courageous of you to admit that. There are exceptions to almost every rule.

Peace be to you, and may God hold you and comfort you always.

Yes, that is a whoooole lot of “guff”
For one thing the Bible disagrees. God said in Genesis “it is not good for man to be alone”. And when God says something is not good, it is not good.
I have heard alot of silly things in my life, and this is definitely one of them.
