They are not sure what did the dinosaurs in, but I for one am glad they’re not around anymore, even tho my grandaughter loves em.
 
first It is not me but you who are quoteing scripture out of context. Christ own words John 3:3 You must be born again. Notice that it does not include anything.
Acts 4: 12 For there is no other name under heaven given by men by which we must be saved. That is Christ not Mary not the saints Christ and Christ alone.

This is the problem often run into. People taking Scripture without understadning the Bible at all in its teaching of doctrine. Chrtist did leave us a church and that church is NOT the catholic church. That is man’s church and it is corrupt.
You also have to remeber that Christ taught under the law. He was the fullfillment of the law but not until the cross. The messgae of grace begins to show itself in John. Then largly through Paul. Funny how Paul rebuked Peter (your first Pope, suposewdly infallible) regarding the mixing of law and grace. again, the original heresy of the church.

I do enjoy your willingness to banter though. I just wish you had more imformation theologically regarding scripture rather than the catholic writings. If you would like to tackle an issu with scripture only I would enjoy that very much but in no way will give respect or creedence to anything written by the catholic church as authoratative in the discussion

St Paul was a catholic? he was one who helped to build the CC.

Bible alone does not work here. that is fruit of your imagination.

How did you get a hold of the Scriptures any way? dont tell me you bought at the store.

if the CC does not understand Scriptures then who does it? since she is the one who safeguard the writings of the Apostles. i am sure you cannot point out any other. it wasnt you or your congregation. or was it?

all catholics are borne again when they get baptized into the Church. as a matter fact they become borne again right after they are borne into this world. they are borne again before you can even say the word.

the Bible and CC can only be understood together any other way we only see confusion. just like you are right now.

if you ignore history of the Church minus well ignore everything else, like jewish history and so forth.

i dont know what you believe and where you come from. all i know is that i can see to much confusion on you part.

what you are doing is telling the Author of the Book: give me your book and will be fine alone with it , i dont need to explain to me what is in it.

it is like this. i dont need to go to school, just give me books and will figure out all by myself. i dont need any teachers to explain anything to me. go right ahead.

The sacred scriptures are not catholic writings. They are Gods words written by the Apostles commissioned by Christ himself. The catholic church has seen fit to alter history by claiming the early church to be “catholic” and thus responsible for the cannon. They did the same thing by rrewriting history claiming Peter to be the first pope. Peter never claimed this nor would he. Funny how it wasn’t until after his death hundreds of years later that the catholic church organized and claimed this. Agustine was responsible for making so called christianity the official church of Rome by way of what would become the catholic church. Again long after the death of John. An organizatrion made by man. You claim to be spiritual and have knowledge of scripture but you cannot. You deny the authenticity of the Word of God you belittle it by saying that a man and a council no Apostle ever heard of, can claim to add books and other writings to be of equal value and you put your faith in that! THEN you call yourself a Christian! May God forgive you! Any read of Matthew and how Christ delt with the Pharasees and how the Pharasees delt with John the Bapitist would allow any enlightened person to see the catholic church in the same light. Hipocrites! Pagans! and “how they love the place of honor”…“and to have men call them Rabi.(Priests, Father).
BTW to answer your last question Jesus was not talking about a biological Father but a spiritual one. " Mat 23:27 You are like whitewashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead mans bones and everything unclean. In the same way on the outside,you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocricy and wickedness”

You try to belittle me and others like me who have knowledge of scripture and have spent lifetimes in study of it. All I can say to you is that you have heard the truth and it is in Gods hands. I do pray for you as still, you refuse to hear the truth of the Gospels and have instead turned yourself to the propaganda of the decietful catholic church. There is no life in that church. I pray you take no more souls with you.
 
On a last note the catholic church is not the author of the book. That would be God but funny how the catholic church claims just that. Casting the pearls amongst the swine

I am not a Catholic, but the responses of yours that I have read on this board make me cringe. It’s often hard to communicate emotion in writing, but I couldn’t be as spiteful and mean as you are being if I tried. You seem to be “talking at” everyone instead of “talking to” them. Try a little grace.

Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Since you claim to understand the Bible, and wish for me/us to accept your understanding, that we might be saved, please convict me/us of the following:
  1. On What Authority should I Accept the Bible at all? The Bible is merely a collection of ancient Books written over many centuries and gathered together by men into a single volume. Hindu, Buddist, Muslim and other writings are also ancient and designed/intended to lead us to God. By What Authority Shall I accept this book and not the others. Note here that you cannot use the Book itself, since any Book will support itself, even if it is pure fiction.
Now after you have done that you will need to convince me:
  1. Which Bible do I accept? Do I accept the Bible with 73+ books that I know can be traced to at least 300 AD? or do I accept a Bible with 66 books that can only be traced to the 1500’s AD.
Finally, assuming you can convince me with valid argument to accept a particular Bible Version you will need to answer this:
  1. By What Authority do you propose that I accept Your Interpretion of Scripture? If the “Holy Spirit” is the sole interpreter of Scripture and my interpretation of scripture is different than yours, How do we determine which is correct? In other words how do we determine which interpretation is of God and which is of the evil one?
You have placed your entire faith and argument squarely on the Books of the Bible. You will accept no other sources. Therefore you need to convince me and the others here of the Authority for these things.

Until you can provide a clear and convincing argument for why you accept the Bible; For your position and authority for believing in and interpreting the Bible; the rest of your arguments are Moot since without this postition/authority there is no reason to change my/our bleliefs.

let me clarify something to you. Jesus was talking to those who did not believe Him, the Church was not yet. so He could not have been talking the Church… hate to dissapoint you on this.

again you blah, blah and did not answer any of my questions. as catholics we like to use reason in addition to faith.

the NT did not exist at the time of Jesus. God is the Author of the Bible for sure because He is the One making history. now how do you think the Bible came to be? do you think men wrote it? do you think that God used chosen men to wright this Book? who? and who do you think kept those writings before it became a book?

I think you might be confusing me with another poster here, I haven’t written anything about St. Paul or anything that would indicate that I am “confused” with “Catholic writings and God’s word”. Please read the posts here before responding because your response to me is somewhat confusion. Do you have a question regarding a Catholic belief, it so, let’s have it.

😃 😃 😃 I think this BACK FROM THE BRINK person is verrrry smart, you see I think they work for ROLAIDS and sales must be off some so they figured if they came here a got everyone fired up we would need antiacid and go out and buy rolaids ,sales would up and they would be a hero to the co.👍
