I think you misunderstood the post . I think bold type is reply to what someone else wrote.

Maybe it’s just me, but usually one way to really annoy someone is to talk trash about their Mom. I can’t believe Jesus would have a different opinion on that particular subject.

Your personal page says you are Catholic. Then, why do you talk about Mary this way? I am not Catholic and going by what you wrote, I have more love and respect for Mary than you do. I clicked on your link and I tried to look at the converts, stories, but every time I clicked on a name to read their stories it said the page can not be displayed or something like that.
**These are quotes from the site you sent me, and you must realize this if you read it!

This is from you, “I’m not saying I agree with everything in this, but you asked for something so here one is. It’s a forum were people are telling their own stories.” and this is the site, which you referenced.

** I wasn’t asking for just something, I was asking for your “recent study” that revealed more catholic’s were converting to one of the thousands of protestant churches.

I didn’t read that or I wouldn’t have posted the site.

It is exactly as you described, yet you are saying you didn’t post it?

Anyone who has read my posts knows I wouldn’t say such things; made me sick just to read it.

I tried it again and this is what I got when I tried to look at one of the testimonies…
Sorry. It looks like there isn’t a page on our website at the address you requested (or it may be temporarily unavailable).
That’s odd, it opened just fine for me; I’ll try something different.

Perhaps, regarding the site you attached to post 550, you accidentally copied and pasted the wrong link; it happens. 👍

I never said I didn’t post it. I said if I realized that, what you said, was on the website I wouldn’t have posted it.

Maybe that’s what happened. I don’t know. All I know is that I would not intentionally post something like that. I’m sorry.

Why would any Christian have a problem with the Blessed Mother…I don’t get it…

There are underlying reasons why I am not Catholic, but the main reason is, I don’t sense the presence of God/ Holy Spirit in the Catholic church like I do at my church.
I’m not Catholic but one thing the Lord has been bringing me up on is that we can be so reliant on what the worship music is like, the sermon etc and how church makes ‘us’ feel. When going to church is all about ‘Him’. So I deliberately went to a church of england church (I go to charismatic methodist) to see if I could ‘feel’ God. I did. I felt the Lord say to me it shouldn’t matter where you are, your relationship with Him should be that you can feel Him anywhere…in a desert, in a crowd of non-believers etc:thumbsup:

Thank you for defending Our Lady, BUT,
I think Joe was trying to show just how horrible these “stories” were. They are soooo sick no decent christian would even come near believing them.

Could you please provide the study you are referring to and the conversion stories from Catholicism to Protestantism; I would love to read them. Here are a whole bunch in the reverse direction! 👍

The study was all over the news about 2 months ago. It showed the declining affiliation people have with formal religion denominations. It showed the falling stats for all the denominations including the Catholic Church.

Don’t believe everything you hear or read in the news, get a Catholic Almanac for the true information.
