If you could ask the pope one thing....

I’d ask him after which of all the preceding papacies would he most like to model his.

In other words: “Which pope is your role model, and why?”

If I actually met him, I would ask him how he prays.

What I would really like to know, though, is if he wanted to be pope. Was it something he dreamed of in his wildest imagination when he was first ordained? Was there a time when he thought it was a real possibility? Did he hope for it? Dread it? Was he groomed for the position?

Or maybe all those years he never thought about it.

  1. In your lifetime , if Jesus (pbuh) comes back & u see that he is actually a Muslim 😃 , will you accept Islam & tell other Christians to do
    so ?
LOL - Now there is a question he probably wouldn’t expect!
  1. Catholics give u so much honour …do u really deserve it ?
The pope is a humble man. He didn’t want to be selected as pope - the shoes of the Fisherman are very difficult to fill.
  1. Any advice for those Catholics who are hostile to people of other faiths ?
Now that would be advice we probably all could use. :sad_yes:
  1. Are u sure , on the final day , you will be able to go to heaven ?
You may may not be aware of this, but Catholic teaching is that no one knows this except God himself. It is God’s decision, not ours. We can be reasonably sure if we have done all the right things, but ultimately it is not our call.

Maybe you should ask God if he accepts a 53 year old having sex with a 9 year old! I dont think he would…

Can’t this be one thread *without *mention of pervy priests 😦 ?

That is not what I would ask the Pope BTW - I don’t have any questions for the Pope. There are things I’d like to see happen; but that is not quite same thing

Where can I get one of those nifty Pope mobiles?

In all seriousness I would ask if he’d bless a rosary and give it to me.
I really, truly, hope that you have this come true. I have a rosary blessed by Pope John Paul II. I cherish it. I’m so afraid of losing it I don’t bring it out. LOL!

As far as asking the Pope a question, I don’t know. Over 15 years or so ago when the Pope came to San Antonio I got close to him. I was taking pictures of him, and I was holding my rosary out. At point, he was like, 2 feet from me (after the CIA dude stepped aside) he looked me directly in the eye and all I could do was hold up my hand holding the rosary. I was stunned and awed I was so close to him - believe I was rendered mute. He looked at my hand and blessed my rosary and other medals I was holding.

I still have ALL of those items, even the little red rosary pouch. All blessed.

dolphinlove’s question wasn’t about “pervy priests.” He was asking a Muslim to ask God how God would feel about a 53 year old man having sex with a 9 year old girl. The 53 year old man referenced here is Muhammad.

Catholics, Non-Catholic Christians, Jews, Muslims and everyone else, if you were allowed to ask the Pope one question, what would you ask?

I think for this fantasy exercise we’ll say that no question is off limits and that he would give you an honest answer to any question you ask.
I would ask him, why people could ask Jesus and His Father questions, but not the pope. 🙂

I would aks if if Athletes are allowed to offer their awards to the Catholic Church. for example: if someone say, wins rookie of the year, of FIFA player of the year, can they give it to the Catholic Church as if they are actually athlets of the Catholic Church and not for their own pride and glory. If so, what would the Catholic Church do with it? Would it put it for display in the Vatican museum or something like that?

What do you think the Pope would say? please answer:)

I think he would politely say, no. There would never be enough room for all of the trophies that people would want to send. How could the Church accept Jeter’s World Series rings but refuse Little Leaguer’s trophy.

Wouldn’t that also be a kind of bragging, anyway? Having your trophy displayed at the Vatican? The goal would change from trying to be the the best for its excellence’s sake and to be the best player you can be for your team, to hoping to win because your trophy will be on display forever in the Vatican.

I would ask the Pope "Would you like to visit Vietnam really soon? " 🙂

I would ask him about all the cats he has had in his life.

:angel1:

What’s it like to be 'da man?!?!?

I’d ask him if he ever imagined he had any chance of becoming pope when he was first ordained a priest 😃

And then I’d ask for a blessing.
