If you die and go to heaven, but your will is to cease to exist instead, would God let that happen?

I have heard that at death our wills are set. I haven’t checked the forum for this but if that is the case our Will will be what we are facing at our judgement.

So, perhaps if you live your life willing to no longer exist, and probably a whole lotta other things, and all of your beliefs and faculties and desires and thoughts are intact after your death, perhaps standing there a person could just dig in and say, “No more for me!”.

But my question for you is this, “Why would you no longer wish to exist?”

Creativity and language which are very much a part of our human experience, whether you believe in God or not, is also often what is pointed to that makes humans in God’s image. Logos. Creativity I hope doesn’t disappear or cease to exist, but maybe that is just for us here to make this world this life better for ourselves and more likely for others. Maybe that aspect of us that the ancients saw as what makes us in God’s image, will continue on.

Even those snazzy Greek philosophers and other cultures Myth makers looked at that capacity of Creativity and wove stories about how man was creative, like the gods, but those gods didn’t want that to get outta hand. Those gods really liked to punish, they were dictatorial, they were capricious. They make for some good stories.

I wish you very well on your journey. I hope you chose Life and Abundance and Joy.
Thank you for understanding my question and not mocking it, I don’t think all other gods were bad, they are the result of human feelings and they were a bit of both, like Jehovah was.

Why would I prefer to cease to exist even if I were in heaven or in a happy place? Because I wouldn’t be happy living with the fact that others are suffering, such an acknowledgement doesn’t bring me continuous happiness even if I had some happy moments.

‘go to Heaven’ implies a desire to be with God.

Thus, to desire to ‘not be’ is a choice made and granted (in manner of relationship with God) before Heaven enters the picture.

(Heaven wouldn’t enter the picture for those who do not want God’s friendship)

This is a mystery we might all learn some day.

How can I be happy in Heaven, if I learn my Mother is in Hell when I get there? (Will I learn my Mother is in Hell, if it is a reality?)

This is where I say, I am only creation, and trust that God knows what He is doing.

As creation a small guess would be that knowledge trumps feelings in Heaven.

People suffering in hell won’t affect happiness in Heaven because God’s Perfect Justice will be obvious!

We’ve had plenty of discussions on THAT issue. Personally, I believe He is not, even for “those lives.”
Do you believe they go to heaven or they reincarnate? if not then you’re contradicting yourself.

In Judaism, there are no contradictions on this issue as well as many others. Reincarnation is not official teaching. Besides, this is my personal opinion and I have not worked out the details, which we do not and cannot know.
