Well, if we put Thomas Aquinas together with a highly educated and imaginative theoretical particle physicist, moving faster than the speed of light is completely possible. I will just wait.
 
Only if my in-laws [ex } go first and after a lengthy period of time no one hears from them I may assume they are so happy that they don’t want anyone to infringe on that happiness, so they burned up their little craft that would have brought them back.🙃

Hey, this is a Mars thread. You know, the yellow/golden eyes, face of Mars, Elon Musk, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Rice Burroughs kind of thing.

Star Wars stuff belong in the church rug color thing, or maybe it’s the altar wine color thing. Not sure.

OTOH, it might be kinda cool if we did get to Mars and find stuff like in Martian Odyssey. Tweel was kinda cool.

I support establishing a colony there but I’m too prudent to go myself.

Darth Maul was born on Mars, so I think it’s relevant. People need to seriously consider what else is waiting for them on Mars if this was the home of one of the most treacherous defenders of the Dark Side.

Howsumever, I don’t know whether any of that has been adequately considered. I’ve seen a couple “lip service” shows dealing with microbes and such, but nothing extensive. Suppose that is why the trip is 1 way?

Ahhh. That explains a lot. I heard Lucas himself is actually the last Jedi, but that’s a different thread.

Perhaps there are some additional motivations Musk and others are working thru.
 
If we are to go to Mars, then we must bring powerful allies to help us…
