If you were going to marry a non-Catholic would you try to force them to convert

I’d like to think that if you wish to be married to a Catholic that you would seek out someone who was Catholic in the first place rather than finding a non-Catholic, wooing her, and then demanding she convert.

I’m a bit of a different opinion to most others. My two brothers and sister married non-catholics who all converted soon after marriage. It’s a bit of a tradition in my family as my 4 uncles and aunt all married people that converted to be able to marry in the Church with them. All the stories have been successes. They all raised their kids through the Catholic system. My cousin who’s mum was a convert is now the vice rector of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Aus.

‘Force’ might not be a true reflection of what’s really going on. God ‘seduces’ people in different ways through different people. I wouldn’t feel tooooo scandalised by what’s happening there to be honest.
