Recently, I have had a discussion with some Evangelical Christians who claimed that our Catholic faith is a false cult. No amount of reasoning could change their mind. Please, remember them in your prayers.

Also, my little brother has been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder in which his nervous system attacks his muscles. The doctors say he is, at best, going to be able to walk for only five-six years. At worst, only a few months. They do not know how to treat it. Please, remember him in your prayers. He is unbaptized and shows no inclination of desire to even go to church. Please, pray for him.

Please, also, if you would, pray for my mother who is dying slowly of cancer.

And also, please pray for me. I have felt a strong pull to the priesthood, even when I was a Protestant (although, it was as a pastor of some church, as that was how I understood the call), but have recently felt a conflicting emotion – a desire instead for marriage, due to my relationship with my girlfriend. Please pray that I might understand what God wills for me, and to, in turn, obey.

Thank you, all.

Praying for your brother and mother and also for your protestant friends to realize that Catholics only worship God …

Praying that Jesus shows you what path to take to answer your vocation …

Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy.

I will pray for all your intentions.
I also felt the call to be a priest.
But I am not mentally healthy enough to be one.
So I am in a Third Order instead with a wife and son.
I will pray for your vocation and your brother.

Prayed for your family…

Mother of perpetual Help,
you know how much I suffer because of my sickness.
Not only my body but my soul is also affected.
I do not even have the strength to pray as I should.
Nothing gives me any relief.
Even the visits and compassion of my friends bring me no comfort.
My courage is beginning to fail;
impatience and sadness are having their effect on me.
Most tender and loving Mother,
in my feelings of distress,
I put all my trust in you.
Your compassionate heart will surely have pity on me.
Ask your Son, Jesus,
to give me the courage and strength
to accept my sickness as the will of God
and to bear it with patience and resignation.
If it is God’s will,
intercede for me in recovering my former good health;
but if it is God’s will that I continue to suffer, or,
that this sickness should lead me to a better life,
I am perfectly resigned.
Loving Mother,
I am confident you will obtain the grace
to do whatever God asks of me.

Amen.

For your vocation…

Hail, Mary, full of grace;
all generations call you blessed.

Hail, Mother of God;
when asked by the angel
to bear the Son of the Most High,
filled with faith, you responded:
“Let it be done unto me according to your word."

Holy Mother of Jesus,
at the wedding feast at Cana,
you prompted your Son to perform His first sign.
Be with us as we discern our life’s work
and guide us in the way
we are called to follow in the footsteps of your Son.

Holy Mother of the Savior,
at the foot of the cross
you mourned the death of your only Son.
Bless and embrace the loving parents of all priests,
deacons, brothers and sisters.

Holy Mother of the Good Shepherd,
turn your motherly care to our diocese.
Intercede for us to the Lord of the harvest
to send more laborers into the harvest.

Queen of Peace,
Mirror of Justice,
Health of the Sick,
inspire vocations to the priesthood in our time.
Let the word of your Son be made flesh anew
in the lives of persons
anxious to proclaim the Good News of everlasting life.
Draw them near to the heart of your Son
so that they can understand the beauty and the joy
that awaits them
when the Lord Jesus calls them
to be His witnesses.
Amen
