My thoughts:

Upon encountering a blind man, the disciples asked Jesus, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.…”

Jesus himself taught us to pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”

God does not cause evil, but uses it for His glory and our strengthening and sanctification. Our suffering causes us to turn to Christ for deliverance instead of relying on our own efforts.

As our secular culture shifts away from orthodox Christian beliefs the resulting hardships will likely result in a smaller, yet purer Church Militant. This state of the world is a time of testing, not merely temptation, and observing 40 days of preparation helps to focus our minds on Christ.
WOW! You GOT IT:thumbsup:

God Bless you, AND THANKS

Patrick

So for THE SAKE OF DISCUSSION

Does that excuse the MESS we live in?🤷

God Bless you,

Patrick
No, it does not excuse it but it does answer the why. As a Christian I must try daily to live as Christ did - I will fall down, no doubt about that!

When we sin we can confess that sin and be forgiven but there are still the earthly consequences that will happen because of that sin.

Bad things happen because it is not a perfect world. The natural disasters do not stem from humans ( and those who are Christians) but rather because we don’t live in a perfect world. I hear the question of “Why did God allow this to happen?” No matter how hard we try our Earth will, at some point, “die” because of the choices we make on this earth. I cannot change the fact that my death is inevitable either before Christ’s return or not.

I think I did some rambling there. Please ask questions if you don’t understand! Not a good cognitive night… 😃

In Jesus our Lord,
Amen!

My friend Rita:)

Everything; EVERY SINGLE THING that happens is either caused by God or PERMITTED by God for 2 reasons
  1. God’s POSSIBLE Glorification
  2. God’s Glorification & OUR POSSIBLE Sanctification
God give us only 2 choices:
  1. choose Good
  2. choose evil {both wit a multiplicity of levels}
If we choose 'Good" ; God is Glorified & and we are Sanctified {offered Grace}

If we choose “evil”; God is STILL Glorified for having given US the opportunity to have chosen GOOD; BUT we receive either no, or little grace & and what grace {if any} that is offered in to AID us in NOT sinning that way again.👍

God Bless you,

Patrick

OK:) … BUT?

Is that the only option?

God Bless you,

PJM
Only option? I’m a little confused as to what you’re asking.
The only option God has when we reject Him?
Or are you asking is that the option to how God’s mercy can be limited?

Asked differently:

What is the “purpose” of God giving humanity an intellect, mind and Freewill?🙂

God Bless you,

Patrick

“If you’re God’s Son, then why do You permit the world to be in the state it is in?”

This is the right question for LENT

God Bless you,

What does it say, or mean to you?

Patrick
Why?
SImple.
Because He is the Son of God, second member of the Trinity, and allow free will.

Some times people forget just how committed to free will God is.
There will be both the personal and general judgement, so all will be made right.

WE and WE alone are responsible. Not God

Because God is Love. Love, unconditional love, requires this.

While NOT disagreeing precisely with your post; I’m unclear by your meaning of “so all weill be all right”. PLEASE explain this further,

God Bless you,
Patrick
