Exactly which translation is the Ignatius RSV, you know the one with the blue cover? Is is just the original RSVCE?

What makes it different from other RSV Editions such as Oxford’s and Scepter? Are they all the same? (Aside from Ignatius’ 2nd edition, obviously) Why call it the ‘Ignatius’ edition? Just because its published by Ignatius?

Yep. The blue Ignatius is the original RSV-CE as published in 1966. Until recently, the Scepter RSV-CE’s were exactly the same thing. The main problems here were the small margins and horrible typesetting.

The Oxford RSV-CE’s are also the 1966 RSV-CE but with new typesetting. However, as some astute posters here have observed, the compact Oxford editions seem to be based on the 1971 New Testament, which is minimally different from the 1966 CE.

They called it the Ignatius Bible because Ignatius revived it when the RSV-CE went out of print. They “rebranded” it as part of their reprinting effort.

Yes.

To your other questions, I really don’t know.
