Hi everyone. Later this week, on Thursday, I’ll be going with a group from my church to protest in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. We will be praying the rosary as we walk around the building and probably doing some sidewalk counseling or passing out some pamphlets as well. Please pray for me and for the whole group that our efforts would be successful and that lives would be saved. Thank you.

I will be praying very hard for you and your fellow parishioners, Holly. You are doing God’s work. May He bless all of you, for your efforts.

Be careful out there Holly. The trial of that guy who shot Tiller has begun, make sure you don’t end up targeted. I will pray tonight that St. Michael the Archangel protect you. :byzsoc:

Thanks everyone. And Aborodki, if I get arrested or something, I’ll just count it as joy to be persecuted for Christ’s sake. 🙂

I’ll be praying for you this week. Please get back to me and let me know about your experience. My religious community is completely dedicated to respect-life ministry. We spend time at these clinics, provide healthcare for these women, material goods, education, a home and even dental services. We go to parishes and educated Catholics on this issue and we dedicate an hour per day in front of the Blessed Sacrament praying for the unborn and for those who minister to them. You are certainly one of those special souls ministering to our unborn brothers and sisters. Therefore, when I go to the Blessed Sacrament tomorrow, you will be in my prayers.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May he show his face to you and give you his peace.
May the Lord bless you little lamb of God.

Fraternally,

Br. JR, OSF 🙂

I will pray now for you and the others and I will keep you in my prayers. Remember our Dear Lord is with you. Godbless!

👍 Praying for you…

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Your an example to us all dear Holly. Ill pray for you all:)

God bless you:thumbsup:🙂

And while you’re there I’d be interested if any feminists you meet could counter the Catherine MaKinnon arguments in this article that recently appeared in First Things.

Essentially her argument is this: ‘Abortion facilitates women’s heterosexual availability,’ MacKinnon pointed out: ‘In other words, under conditions of gender inequality [abortion] does not liberate women; it frees male sexual aggression. The availability of abortion removes the one remaining legitimized reason that women have had for refusing sex besides the headache.’ Perhaps that is why, she observed, ‘the Playboy Foundation has supported abortion rights from day one.’ In the end, MacKinnon pronounced, Roe’s ‘right to privacy looks like an injury got up as a gift,’ for ‘virtually every ounce of control that women won’ from legalized abortion ‘has gone directly into the hands of men.’

I’ve attached some other stuff to it here:

That doesn’t mean that God and I can’t worry about you 😦

Be careful and godbless,

I have done this for years-although not with a Church group.

Hopefully, you will be with someone who has done this before.

Wherever 2 or more of you are gathered, Christ is with you.

Pray and offer the others support-silently. Hopefully, they’ve had some sort of training. You are there showing moral support.

You didn’t say if abortions would be performed that day or not. At our Clinic, basically abortions are every other Saturday. Mondays are busy, as young women are going in for the “morning after” pill after a weekend of ?

God Bless you. You’ll be fine. Although, it’s surreal realizing what’s going on just 100 ft. or so away.

So very sad.

Let us know your reflections afterwards.

+Peace Be With You.
