I was wondering if anyone knew of the different saints who experienced the uncreated light and were transfigured for witnesses. I’ve heard and seen Icons that portray this event in the lives of Saint Seraphim of Sarov and Saint Simeon the New Theologian. I heard Gregory Palamas was graced with this as well, but I could not find an Icon depicting it. Thank you all for your help!

I’ve heard of it happening to Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi, and also to St. Dominic. But you won’t find any icons depicting the event, to my knowledge at least.

I suspect the kind of mystical experiences described in Eastern Christianity as illumination by Uncreated Light are essentially the same as the experiences described by St. Theresa of Avila and even St. Thomas Aquinas, just in different language.
