Im a catholic member but im thinking of converting

Hi i’ve been thinking of converting to Church of Christ… im still confuse… to tell you the truth im not really a religious person i dont go to church everyweekend but for me as long as the lord is in my heart all the time is what is worth… but last year i met a guy he’s a Church of Christ member he’s very religious… he is not allowed to date a person outside his church but we still tried to continue our relationship he likes me alot and so am i to him… we became offically a couple just recently because of that he kinda prioritized me over his obligation to his church he wasnt been able to attend some of their church gatherings because he always come to visit me. Then suddenly he was confeonted by his churchmate about it and because that even tho we really like each other we had to stop our relationship… the thing is he wants me to visit his church and attend the service but he never asked me to convert… i dont its just my thought of converting if ever , But I dont wanna convert just bacuse of him but because its whats God whats me to do… so i’ve been having this thoughts lately… lastnight i dreamt about an angel giant woman falling from the sky and i also saw 3-4 giant woman angels flying in the sky with very calm and happiness in their face i think holding the angel that was falling from the sky its very vivid the dream im thinking its a sign or something… so yeah i really dont know what to do. What if i attend their church service then suddenly i realise that i wanted to convert to them…

If what you say is true about the other guy from his church confronting him, I would steer clear. It sounds very cultish. Normally fellow church members keep their nose out of other people’s business.

You should look into your own Catholic faith a bit more before converting to something else. The only Church of Christ is the Catholic Church. Why would you leave the sacraments and the Church?

Patty Angels are immaterial beings but their personhood is men. It has always been known like that. for thousands of years Their Hebrew names refers to them as men - Gabri-El (the strength of God, ““EL”” in Hebrew means “God” and is a male substantive).
Angels as women is a demonic apparition aimed to offend them. The new age religion is based on obtaining magical things by depicting angels as women and offending them, guess who makes “miracles”" for them? Your dream did not come from God, but from the enemy.
If this dream made you think joyfully about converting to this cult you should once more just not do it.
I pray for you that God protects you in these times of temptation.
Please also discuss with a priest about this struggle of yours even if probably you say “bla… he’s just gonna tell me anything to make me stay in Church and keep me Catholic” but maybe he will say unexpected things that may change your mind about the easiness of just joining this cult.

I can only tell you this: The church Jesus Christ founded was the Catholic church. If you read accounts of the early church, they were clearly Catholic. Every Christian denomination besides the Catholic church does not have the fullness of truth. They may have pieces of it but not all of the truth. There is a girl on youtube and her channel is LizziesAnswers I believe. She just converted from Protestantism to Catholicism. She describes why she believes the Catholic church is the true church. Check it out.
Our priority as Christians is to put God above all else in our life. Believe me, no church or young man can give you the joy you seek without the sacraments which Jesus Christ himself created and gave to his church; the Catholic church. I pray Jesus will give you strength.

I challenge you to begin praying the rosary. I doubt you can continue to convert after saying it devoutly and regularly (every day) for a month. This link lists the promises of the rosary. It has been a powerful instrument to defeat the lies of satan and grow deeper in my faith.

The only real Church of Christ is the Catholic Church. In it we have the fullness of truth, and the only safe path to salvation.

You feel attracted to the “Church of Christ” (the group that calls itself that) because your boyfriend’s religious devotion to your own lack of religious devotion, and rightly see that the former is better. But his devotion is misplaced, as his denomination lacks most of the Sacraments, and has many false teachings.

What you ought to do is go to confession, start attending Mass on Sundays, and learn about the Catholic faith.
