I'm A new Catholic

For all these years I have been proud of my Italian ancestry, Saying I’m A Roman Catholic, But I wasn’t really, I came on this Forum a few weeks ago in search for answers, I was watching this video about this man who died and came back to life and he said there was heaven and hell and he was explaining it, And I ordered a copy of the bible and now hopefully I can be a true Catholic.

Howdy and I was going to say welcome home, but it sounds like you never left home, but have come downstairs to be a more active part of the family, and that sure is great.

Note: **Also what was compelling, I was watching another Video about How god is not real, It started to stop and start, Maybe a sign from god to believe and not search for ways not be believe? Maybe thats why after I cam across that video about the man falling from heaven?

People say If there is a god then why are people suffering why are there wars? Well I think that god gives us the free will to do anything: Have sex, Drink be violent, Things are meant to be like that, Another thing that springs to mind is that God hates Blacks? I mean in thhe bible there are Black slaves and Africa, India, Brazil, Jamaica, All black people are poor?**
 
What a beautiful gift you have from God to be converted within the faith. I’ll look forward to you posting the video.

I thank God for your conversion in faith and would ask that you pray for me that I too will be converted within the faith as we all need to be converted as often as possible.🙂

Blessed start I have posted the video for you, Thats what has caught my eye and made me think.
 
I also had a outer body experiance like He described, When you can see yourself your leaving behind your shell and drifting slowly in the air then I woke up but this was months ago that happened, Now all the puzzle pieces fit.
 
Then this is a great grace for you and the grace is already drawing you deeper in faith.

You must be very thankful to God, I can’t imagine how thankful you must be and God so desires our ‘Thank You’ that He instituted the Eucharist though He doesn’t need us nor for us to say thank you but in love between the soul of man and the Spirit of God a simple thank you is eternal and is for our good.

Spend alot of time in prayer thanking and praising God and in your prayer simply desire union with Him.

Treasure what you have been given and build upon it.🙂

I’d like to think there is a better afterlife, I need to do better, Put all my sins behind me and move on, Some of the stuff I will find hard to do here, No sex before marriage, Masterbation, Swearng.

My Family have always had something against Jews, So for me to learn to love them will be hard.

You’re in great shape if you know you are a sinner and are willing to grow in the likeness of Jesus, that is a good and humble place to be and Jesus will be with you and give you every grace and blessing all you need do is persevere in prayer and in the faith.
 
Tonight has been a real night for me, I don’t know when to start, Read the bible and then things will be clearer, Anything else that I can do online?

God did all this at the time He knew was right for you. Offer the past, present and future to God and all of it belongs to Him and your past will be in Him as you are in Him now.

I really am so very pleased and joyful for you and thank God greatly for this night of grace for you.
 
It’s kind of scary to think that your spirit will be lifted from you, And it’s weird to think you and Billions of billions of people will be there… in heaven

There’s nothing to be afraid of. Yes Jesus is King of Kings and very powerful, truly glorious and victorious and His Holiness is Mighty and He gave you your spirit and will return you to Himself, but you will not do any of it by yourself, Jesus is sufficient and He will not let you be crippled by fear because His Love will enlarge your heart to be united with Love, with Himself.

Don’t start worrying, just rejoice in the knowledge that God loves you and is doing great things for you.

Worry never did anyone any good, don’t start looking back either and get hard on yourself. From this day on look forward and have enormous gratitude in your heart to God.

It really is wonderful, your best friend is the Lord of all things. So talk to Him as a best friend.🙂
 
I think it will be hard in the Uk to be Catholic, Everyone has the opinnion we are the reason for all these wars, World war 2, The romans, And the Ira…

I am in the UK. It’s not easy anywhere to be Catholic, but here we are blessed to practise our faith openly and in peace. It doesn’t matter if it isn’t easy, but don’t worry about difficulties you have not yet faced, take it a day at a time. You will be surprised. I work in a homeless centre and find everytime I am there someone will talk to me about God and they believe in Him. The nuns there do not wear their habit which I wish they would because they believe that it would put off people, but I wear my cross and I don’t mention my faith however I have found people talk to me about my faith and they are not put off at all, but are interested.

God works in mysterious ways and we must not be afraid to be known as Catholics.🙂
 
Well, It’s hard for me also, Because I love women, And to think no sex or nothing:o

I live in the UK too…and have never heard these things that people say about Catholics, and I have come from a position of once being very anti Catholic ( so I would have known about it cos I probably would have started the rumour lol)… the UK is one of the most free place in the world to practice any religion.
 
Well, Not as much as Muslims, But It’s only some Muslims that do suicide bombings, People must see this.
