I have been reading more and more Catholic literature hoping to find some peace, and to an extent, I have. I’m praying, yet I’m struggling.
I was diagnosed with cancer in my mid-twenties, which really set me back psychologically and in terms of my career and family ambitions. Fast forward a few years. I came across a family in need, hoping that I would not see them go down the wrong path, which was an absolute certainty. I tried to do everything possible, helping them financially, providing moral support.
Well now I’m in need. I can’t find work (freelance programming), my illness is on my mind constantly. I have trouble leaving my home, which I may not have for long. I want to have a purpose and feel accomplished. But now, it seems there’s no one there to help me through this. As pathetic as it might seem, my dog is my only friend.
Please I ask for your prayers.
