Im confused about videos i watched on youtube

hi, i posted something about this earlier today, but it seems to have been removed. (its not bad at all, i dont get it) so please tell me if this is reposting and i will delete it within that day.

well anyway, heres what im confused with: if someone were to watch censored videos on youtube of celebrity wardrobe malfunctions, is that a mortal sin? no nudity would be in it. it would be censored by big yellow smiley faces. ok, and say that that person realized that while this may not be a mortal sin, he stopped watching them because he knew that they could lead in that direction. so, is watching sensored videos such as this a mortal sin, keeping in mind the viewer stopped right after realizing what they could lead too? (seriously though, i think i saw about the same thing on access holywood, on non-cable tv)
 
There was this thread from this member who wanted to talk about lowering the age of consent.
I basically called him a pedophile and the entire thread was deleted.
It would be nice if the administrators would just give a little explanation of why these threads are removed.

As far as your question goes.
I think we need to worship God with our eyes wide open.
It’s no challenge to your faith if you cloister yourself in a sheltered world.
It’s too easy to be a religious person if you lock yourself up in a closet and close your life to anything that even remotely seems un-Christ like.

Let me ask you this.
Who is doing Gods work?
The one who lives in a tower praying,
Or the one who preaches the word of God in a brothel?
 
i was sort of serious if you didnt notice. i just need a yes or no answer. i realize that some things make god a little un-happy with us, but i want to know if the said subject would offend him enough to be a mortal sin. thank you for posting, but i need a serious answer.

I believe that anything that you have enough sense to question, is probably offensive to GOD! Do you think that Christ would want to be sitting there watching that? Well, where we are, he is also. So why expose him to it?

Sorry, I really thought my answer was serious, but Pani Rose seams to have a more serious answer than I did.😊
 
look, i did have sense too question it-but my sense was clouded by temptation. but as the clouds blew away, i realized that it was wrong and stopped. so could i please have a straight answer? mortal or not?

It pains me to see people beat themselves up over these things.
God is forgiving, God is loving, God is understanding of his beloved children.
He really likes us…really.
Fear him if you are against him, don’t fear him if you are trying your best to follow him.
Curiosity is wondering what possible camera angle cought Brittany Spears with no under wear. Mortal sin is attempting to have sex with Brittany Spears because she doesn’t wear underwear or watching a porn video of her…There is a difference.

You are a good person, God knows this and takes it into account.

Probably not if your intention was not to look lustfully or catch a peek :tsktsk:. But if a show is about wardrobe malfunctions, what do you expect hats to fall off heads, scarfs to fall off. More like dresses being held up by a thread coming apart.

I apologize, sometimes I don’t realize that you can’t actually see me when I write, I’ll work on that.
Please feel free to question me as to what the heck I meant by what ever I seem to be saying so I can clarify.

In the future, when you have these questions about your daily life.
Think about this.
Why does God want us to confess our sins to a Priest?
To punish us?
To lower his wrath?
Our sins are not a secret to God, he knows what they are.
Why would he want us to speak them out loud before a Priest?
God knows us better than we know ourselves, and he should.
He knows that if you just know your sins inside your head and feel sorry for them, you will carry those sins around with you forever.
He knows that we need to hear them spoken out loud to ourselves, to take ownership and responsibility for them so that we can have closure and beg for his forgiveness in hopes to do penance for them.
He wants us to confess so he can let us know that he forgives us.
He wants us to come to him so he can hold us and say it’s alright and he loves us while we sob at our own failings to be his followers just as you would your own children.
That’s my God, that’s my father.
Let him be yours.

ok. im going to be honest. well, anyway, i was on youtube. you know, just watching the usuall. but then, i am sorry to say, temptation sort of filled me. so i searched "celebrity wardrobe malfunctions. well, some of them came up. they were all censored, save one, and that one was just pointless, and it was just a tiny bit of it. when i first searched for the stuff, you know, i told myself that i woldent commit any mortal sins after i found them. (ie. lust, masterbation) honest to goodness, i didnt know what i would do if i actually found something-which i didnt. i was just being ignorant. so after a just a short time, i decided to stop watching them. well, then i started looking at video game mods. (doesent stand for model) so this one came up, which i wont disclose the name, that had a pretty sexually explicit title. at first i thought i shouldent, but i saw that it was animated, and everyone was fully clothed, so i clicked on it. it was honestly just funny. i mean, it was like a cartoon. but sense came to me in that situation too, and i stopped watching them also. but then i did something foolish. i told people about them. not because i didnt care, but because i wanted to see if anyone else had seen them, just so i could get others opinions. i now wish i hadnt told others about them, as i may have told them a way to sin. i just dont know…i am just glad i stopped before i saw real nudity. (i got of the site for the day when i stumbled upon a video that had real people again. once again, it had no nudity, and i didnt even watch it all the way, and got of the site. i think it was only about 5 sec. long anyway)

so…did i commit a mortal sin? please consider all three counts: 1.the animation one. 2. the celebrity ones 3.telling others about them.

thank you for any answers. keep in mind i did not manipulate myself in an impure way while watching any of these, and never intended to look lustfully, as they were just supposed to be funny, and things that you would see on tv.
 
Don’t put yourself into an occasion for sin. To do that on purpose is in itself sinful.

Now regarding the OPs question, it’s probably not Mortal sin, but is highly imprudent, especially if this is something that you know will lead to temptation or sin. So go and confess it, and avoid those kind of situations in the future!

Not everything that you question is offensive to God

People have different Values if mine dont match yours and what i say and do makes you question, does that mean its offensive to God? No

It just means we have different values

It appears as though you are putting yourself in a near occasion of sin. If not mortal, it is at the very least tempting your admittedly weakened state to do a more serious sin. Don’t put yourself in these tempting situations - it usually leads to sin.
