Such wonderful news, Convert!!! I am so happy to hear things went so well, thank you Lord!!!

Prayers that recovery is smooth!

PRAISE GOD!!! :extrahappy: So happy to hear of your very successful surgery. Now it’s time to rest. Remember, you still have stitches inside and they need time to heal.

Menopause/Schmenopause. 😛 God is at your side. You may struggle for a bit, but nothing like all the pain you’ve been experiencing. Take each day as it comes. And check out that web site from a previous poster . Find peace in knowing millions of women have survived menopause.

God Bless your health care workers and God Bless You.

:extrahappy:

Enjoy this early Christmas gift! Please rest and take care.

Oh my! You are all so sweet! :grouphug: Thank you so much for sticking with me during this long road to recovery and healing. Thank you all for all your encouragement and prayers. They have meant so much these long months past.

I really am still feeling quite well. It was definitely the right decision to do the total hysterectomy. Praise God for all his goodness! He seemed so quiet during those long months of pain and suffering. I really thought He had forgotten about me! :o

Thanks again everyone! :grouphug:

I’m continuing to do well. I haven’t had anymore regression in my healing. I’m kind of at a standstill but getting stronger.

I am starting to have some minor menopausal symptoms (mainly hot flashes) but they are far better than what I went through before surgery. Hope no other symptoms develop. So far, save incision pain, I’m still feeling really good. My mental state is still well, which we were most worried about. All in all I’m still very thankful to have had his surgery! 🙂

That is wonderful! Praying in thanksgiving on your other post.

It’s 3 days post-op and I’m home (yes HOME!!!) and doing well so far. They were miraculously able to shave the external wall of the colon and didn’t have to resection it. They removed all the new Endometriosis and took the uterus and ovaries. It was miraculously all able to be done laparoscopically. It was a miracle! No menopause symptoms yet. Doctor said they may take a few weeks to start. Of course I still have pain but on pain pills I still feel better than when I went in. It’s a miraculous surgery. Thanks for all of your support and prayers. Obviously they have worked tremendously. I feel a whole new act of my life will be starting in 6 weeks when all restrictions will (hopefully) be lifted. Please pray I continue to heal so well and that menopause symptoms stay far away!
I’m so happy everything went so well for you! I had laparascopic surgery once (gallbladder) and I am AMAZED at how much easier the recovery tends to be. (I’ve never had full-on open abdominal surgery but have cared for patients who have, as well as witnessing my father have an appendectomy.) I will pray that things go well for you.

Thanks again everyone! :grouphug:

Praying in thanksgiving . . . for He is worthy!

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel****
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into Hell Satan
and all the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,**
Deliver me, Jesus.**
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,**
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.**
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…
Amen.:signofcross:

Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Aww! Thank you to all who are still praying for me! :hug3:

I am still doing well. Very tired still, but almost pain free and still think this was the best choice. I am taking some hormones now to help with the menopause symptoms. I’m struggling with the permanent infertility idea, so if you could please pray for that. 🙂

Thanks again for all your support and prayers! :grouphug:
