At church we have what is called - I kid you not - a Cry Room. Its main purpose is for nursing mommies with little ones who can’t be quiet. Perhaps your church has one?
No, no “Cry Room,” but I’ve heard of them and been in churches for wakes that have had them.
It is also possible God wants, for reasons He only knows, to have you as some kind of sign or something, and, try as you might, somehow it happens that everyone coming back from the Eucharist sees you there, because, well, the only seat in the house, somehow, was on the aisle in the third row. “Lord, thy will be done”.
You never know. Thankyou for your thought.

🙂

Maybe we are kindred spirits, thinking of Anne of Avonlea…

Do you feel like life is like Jesus comes up to you, smiles, promises to never leave or forsake you, wraps you in His loving arms,…

and then cheerfully jumps off a 10,000 foot cliff you never saw coming?

Well, I think this is beautiful - all of it. The original post and all of the advice given here - just beautiful.

May I ask a stupid question? You say that it’s getting worse - is there any chance this could also be hormonal? I ask because I start to cry after receiving the Eucharist at almost every Mass. This has been happening off and on for a few months now. Being that I’m in my mid 40s, I figured it’s hormonal (for me). Could there be any health issue involved as well?

I’m about the same age as you, then, in my early forties. And I’m a woman, so doesn’t that say it all? All I know is that I still get periods (and hate them) and I always get extremely depressed feeling before and sometimes after it, but mostly just before. I wouldn’t be lying if I said I would rather my tears are a spiritual thing rather than just simply hormonal. I went to Palm Sunday vigil Mass this evening, and I was fine, except I did tear up a little, but nothing like it is when I go in the mornings for whatever reason. I teared up at various points, a little during the reading of the Passion, and during the offering hymn as they were bringing up the gifts, “Jesus Remember Me When You Come Into Your Kingdom.” Other than that, I was fine. I feel it is moreso the spiritual aspect, rather than hormonal, because I can be fine, then I know what stirs it up, and it is things like this. Deep feelings that get stirred because of the readings, songs, or even the sermon.
Thankyou for your kind words!
