Don’t abort the little baby inside of you. Please, reread the posts above, they have some good contact information for you. You do have some good concerns, and I know that you are scared but God will help you get through this and give her up for adoption if you can’t take care of her. Pregnancy is such a joyful experience. Don’t miss out on the miracle of giving birth. I will pray for you and your little one.

Please please PLEASE reconsider! You know, I am an unwed pregnant mother at 19. My sistuation could be worse but it certainly isn’t ideal! At this point my child may not even get to know his father but that isn’t a reason to kill him. Every mother in the world understands how difficult it is to carry a child and care for one but just look, they all have managed to get through it! What would we do if our Blessed Virgin Mother never chose to carry our dear Jesus?! We wouldn’t have the chance to be forgiven for anything! Don’t tell Jesus He gave His life for nothing by going through with this. EVERY child has something good to offer this world. Try canceling your appointment now, don’t rush into this. If you walk into that baby-killing building they will lie to you. They will tell you that your child isn’t worth anything. Give this more time to think. It isn’t as hard as it appears to be. Wait until you can hold that precious baby in your arms. You will never regret giving a sweet baby a life!

With God, first comes fear, but soon enough you WILL know peace.
God bless you dear sister.

Even if you choose abortion it is not going to just “be over”.

You made a CHOICE to make the appt.
You make a choice to get the car keys to go.
You make a choice to get in the car, turn the ignition, step on the gas.
You make a choice to drive to the clinic
You make a choice to walk inside
You make a choice to sign in
You make a choice to wait for the dr.
You make a choice to have the abortion.

Any of these CHOICES you can choose not to do, and every choice you make is your responsibility and you get to face each and every one of them when your whole heart and mind tell you you did the wrong thing.
Did you know that one of the many aftereffects of abortion is that frequently women DEVELOP eating disorders as the result of killing the living being inside of them? You say you are in treatment for one and so are ostensibly trying to overcome it? The possible effects of having an abortion look ugly just knowing THAT.

I found out I am pregnant yesterday. I scheduled an abortion for Wednesday.

I know that this is horrible, that I will regret it, and I hate myself - but I have no choice. The alternative is just not an option. All I can think about is if God will ever forgive me…
My dear friend

Abortion is the worst type of murder you can commit. You’ll hate yourself forever perhaps. You’ll be terribly tormented the rest of your life. It’s an abomination. Seek the options available to help you that are there, like adoption. If you don’t want to be insanely sick in your mind the rest of your life and perhaps eternally look at other options.

I’ll pray for you. Don’t do it. It’s the very worst sin in the world today and the one hat will lead to nuclear wars according to Mother Teresa.

God bless you:)
John

You can’t handle the embarassment of giving a child to a loving family, but you can kill it!!
I’m sorry, I need to walk away now for I have nothing left to say that won’t get my kicked off this site!
It is a selfish attitude, but it is an attitude very prevailent in society.

Some people would rather throw an unwanted chocolate bar in the bin, then give it to someone else who is starving.

It’s more or less pride.

As an adopted child concieved in rape, I can talk to you about adoption, if you want.

Thanks to everyone’s responses…

Yes - this is a serious post. I am truly sorry.

You are right to say that I am looking for help - looking for someone to talk me out of it and give me a viable option. I do not want to give this baby for adoption - I could not handle that kind of embarassment or shame.

It is a terrible situation - one in which we hoped we would never face. We do not want to do this - it is killing us - but feel it is the best thing to do.

I just want this to be over…
Murdering your innocent baby is extremely shameful, you would disgrace yourself and be cursed for the rest of your life. You are thinking nobody would know aren’t you? You are wrong, you will know and it will tear you apart inside all your life, your husband will know and he will lose respect for you, God will know and will curse you for it.

Do you murder everyone who ever causes you embarrassment? I imagine not otherwise you would be a mass murderer by now. This baby is innocent and deserves the right to live.

There is nothing shameful about giving the gift of a baby to another couple, it would be a noble act of selfless love, a truly Christian thing to do.

Stop been such a selfish coward, you are better than that. Do not sacrifice your babies life to try and gain the favour of the world, the world is indifferent to you, most people do not care about you one way or the other so put you baby first, put God first.

God cares about you, have Hope and Trust in Him. Pray to Him to give you the strength to keep this baby He has given to you.

Please don’t do this. There is always a way. Your situation is horrible for you, but you are being BLESSED with this wonderful baby!
  1. My husabnd and I weren’t ready either. We weren’t even married yet!
  2. I have a kidney disease, pretty severe on at that. I had to be taken care of by a high risk doctor. Put in the hospital for weeks
  3. I couldn’t work for 4 months BEFORE I had the baby! No money coming in, not even disability (yes I had a job and went back to work)
  4. Debt. Everyone is in debt. We could barely afford to feed ourselves
  5. I had to deliver my second baby early so I didn’t die. Work vs. Baby…hmmm…baby wins
Guess what. We have had 2 children and God has blessed us! We aren’t rich, we scrape by. but we have a house and our kids are fed.

There are always ways. You CAN do this.
There are several reasons:
  1. We are just not ready yet.
  2. I have an eating disorder - I am not in the emotional, mental, and physical health to have a baby right now
  3. I am currently on ST disability from my employer because I am getting treatment for my eating disorder - and I can only take so much time in a 12 month period.
  4. We are in a pile of debt - and financially it would be impossible.
  5. I would be due early April - and with my work schedule - that is the worst time possible. My husband and I always talked about him finding a new job when we decided to have kids - as we need something more flexible and he is just not ready to leave his job yet.
Numbers 2-4 are our main reasons. This is a very scary situation for me - my husband is scared to death about how this is all going to effect me and my trying to recover.

This is why we cannot go through with this. It is just not possible.

God, please send your angels to protect this little baby. Please send your reassurance and comforting love to this woman and her husband and help them to choose life for their child. Amen.

It is killing the both of you because you know it is a sin, and that feeling is not going to go away once you actually commit the sin. If you don’t want to do this, then don’t. That is God speaking to you. Your other thought re. your inability to meet these challanges is the devil telling you you can’t. YOU CAN.

Why would you have hoped abortion would be something you’d never have to face? You are a practicing Catholic. Abortion isn’t an alternative.

You are talking about taking a human life. You should be ashamed of that. Your solution is to give the baby to a couple who would be thrilled to have him/her. There is nothing shamful about saving your child’s life. You are his mother. Mothers save their children. Adoption is the option.

It will never be over. Abortion will just add to your guilt.

I don’t understand why your problems are so insurmountable for you. We all have debt. It can be managed. I’m sure your eating disorder can too if you put your mind to it.

Pat, please do NOT kill your baby. You can give it up for adoption. It is not shameful in this day and age but commendable as you are giving life to an innocent child and giving it a good home to a loving family who can’t have children of their own.

If you talk to a reputable attorney well versed in adoption they will tell you that most adoptive parents will pay for the prenatal care as well as the birth and expenses you incur while carrying the child.

PLEASE DO NOT KILL THIS INNOCENT CHILD. I know of a couple right now that would LOVE TO HAVE A CHILD BUT CAN’T.

GO TO CATHOLIC CHARITIES OR CARE.NET AND ASK ABOUT ADOPTION OPTIONS–THEY CAN BE CLOSED OR OPEN (WHERE YOU CAN MEET WITH THE CHILD SO MANY TIMES A YR. AND THE ADOPTIVE PARENTS WILL KEEP YOU INVOLVED IN YOUR CHILD’S LIFE).

DO NOT KILL YOUR BABY. I REPEAT DO NOT KILL YOUR BABY. YOUR MOTHER LOVED YOU ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU LIFE. Yes, times are tough but they are everywhere. My sister just gave birth to her 5th child!!! They live on her income while her husband stays at home during the day with the baby and works part-time in the evening. IT CAN BE DONE. You need to rethink your priorities: budget your income, give up things that are necessary such as cable, cell phones, going out to dinner, etc.

PLEASE PLEASE I BEG OF YOU. DO NOT KILL YOUR CHILD. ADOPTION IS THE BETTER OPTION. WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOUR DH. PRAYING FOR YOUR BABY AS WELL.:gopray::gopray:

“PW” You say you are looking for someone to talk you out of it. I believe you. That’s why you’ve posted this. This is a cry for help.

I want you to stop and think about what you’ve written here. You can’t handle the embarrassment or shame… of letting your child go for adoption? Of knowing, that your child will be raised by people who want a child? And would give your child a great life? To me, that doesn’t sound like embarrassment or shame. It sounds like the greatest kind of LOVE. Unselfish love.

Think about this, “PW”. Think about the pain and the guilt that will follow you all the days of your life… if you go ahead with an abortion. Can you live with THAT? You say you want it to “be over”. But I assure you, if you abort your precious child… it will NEVER “be over”. :nope: You will remember every single time you SEE another baby; or hear a baby cry; or hear a child laugh. You will remember. :sad_yes:

I hope that we can talk you out of this, dear soul. Because I do not want you to live with this for the rest of your life. Your child was created by God… to LIVE. Just as YOU and the child’s father were created to LIVE.

There is NO SHAME in placing a child for adoption in a loving home. There are so many, many people who can’t have children of their own. Who would LOVE and NURTURE your precious child.

I hope that you will contact “Priests for Life” (link in signature). Or “Rachel’s Vineyard” (link below):

Please contact them BEFORE WEDNESDAY.

God bless you. I’m praying for you.

I’m wondering: Which of these reasons would suffice for you for killing your child if he/she were two years old instead of 6 weeks gestation? I’d guess none of them for you are a good and moral person. You would not concider post-natal abortion for any reason.

I’m wondering. Which of these reasons would lead you to amputate your husband’s/boyfriend’s leg, instead of getting treatment to save his leg if that was your medial issue. My guess is you would opt for the saving of his leg dispite all the problems and expense. Do you love his leg, more then you love his child? Think about it!

My dear sister in Christ, Pat’s Wife
My dear brother in Christ, Pat

A baby is a wake-up call for many people. Of everything you’ve said here, your eating disorder is the only thing that putting Pat’s Baby up for adoption will not solve. This is what God wants you to gain from this experience. He wants you to be healthy, and Pat’s Baby is going to help you get there. You need to see a dietitian, and follow their advice to the letter if you want to be physically healthy. You need to see your priest, and follow his advice to be spiritually healthy.

Mrs. Pat, God has given you a wonderful gift. He wants you to use it. He wants you to be healthy. Maybe He wants you to put Pat’s Baby up for adoption. That is not destroying His gift, that is passing it on. I pray that you will be guided by the entire Heavenly Court in especially the next three days, but also through the next nine months.

Peace be with you,
Spirithound

Here are the facts:

Your baby will feel pain when you kill it.

You will feel sadness and regret when it is over for years.

Every year that passes, you will think how old your baby WOULD have been.

God sent you a gift and you are throwing it away, LITERALLY. Think about what happens to the baby after an abortion, picture it in your mind. You do not have to raise the gift God sent to you - you can give the baby to a couple who would be THRILLED to have a baby to love and raise. You can change lives, instead of killing someone’s - your own flesh and blood.

Choose LIFE.

Prayers for you and your unborn baby. Your baby doesn’t deserve to die.

Dear Pat’swife, I was never in your position of considering an abortion but I wanted to add my experiences to all of the other posts. I delivered a baby girl at eight months who died one hour later from severe birth defects. We had no idea there was anything wrong until I went into labor. In the 22 years since that day I cannot tell you have often I have mourned her loss. In the years afterward I often wondered why she had so much wrong with her and I would go over in my mind about what I could have done to cause the problems. The doctors never could explain what happened. My only consolation was that I kept her safe (and I hope pain free) in my womb for eight months. Please keep your baby safe for nine months and then if necessary give the baby to someone is aching for a child. You will not regret keeping your baby alive.

Hi Pat’s Wife,

I am going to add to the chorus, and ask you to please consider giving the baby up for adoption! I am adopted myself, and I thank God that my biological mother had the courage to do the best thing for me and give me to people who wanted a family, but could not have their own children. It was a complete act of love for me, and I am eternally grateful. There is nothing at all shameful about giving up your baby for adoption… it is the most loving thing you can do!

Please re-consider. You can definitely do this! I know you are hurting right now, but an abortion will add to it and make it permanent.

Sweet soul… please reconsider & do not feel there is NO other option, because there is always another option.

I was a single woman 44 years old, and still raising my then 16 yr old daughter, when a coke addict who lived next door broke in and got me pregnant. My entire family (my sisters & my mother) all felt I had no option but to have an abortion & my mother even offered to pay for it. I told them I needed to take time to speak with the Lord & seek His guidance, which I did. I firmly came to the conclusion that God would help me raise this child, & thus I decided to have him.

Not only was I 44, but I was also disabled from polio & used a powered wheelchair for mobility. In discussion with my doctors I was fully aware that I may very well have a disabled child due to my age, possibly spina bifida, or downs syndrome. This caused my “very Catholic” family to press me even more to have an abortion. However, after much prayer I heard the Lord’s answer & I could not go forward any other way but the way He showed me.

I now have a very healthy & extremely loving 16 year old son who I feel so blessed to have!! I am so ecstatic that I listened to the Lord instead of to my own fears, & those of my family.

There is always an option… PRAY & ask for guidance. You will be SOOOOOO very blessed for it.

I will hold you in prayer my sister!!

 I am in awe of your courage, your bravery. What a beautiful story. If I had had just a thimbleful of your courage when I was 18 and was pregnant, I never would have had the abortion I did. I will never for your story.
