after battling depression for years, It’s finally come to this. My situation is such that I want to just curl up in a ball and go to sleep… permanently.

Please pray for me. Thankfully I am at a Catholic hospital and they have brought me the Eucharist and a Priest came for the sacrament of reconcilliation. I just want this time to be the last time that I plunge this low.

Thank you all in advance.

in Christ
Steph

Father in Heaven, please watch over Steph during this hard time and bring her your perfect healing. Thank you for giving Steph the help she needs and for letting us know that she needs our prayers.

I will spend a holy hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament for you today, Steph. Remember that you’re never alone, Christ and his Saints and angels are watching over you.

tundramom,

Having just said a prayer for you, I pray that you will contact Father Benedict Groeschel (franciscanfriars.com/)), as he offers blessed hope, being both a gifted priest and clinical psychologist. May the Lord God, through His most Holy Spirit lift you up, as He gave His Son for you as if you were the only one on this earth.

Praying for you.

Thank you all so much. I know God will see me through this.

in Christ
Steph

I know how it feels to just wanting to be left in a corner to die. I also know what the power of the Eucharist and of prayer can do. You hang in there and we will keep praying for you.

I will add you to my prayers for peace, comfort and delivery from your burden.

You are in my prayers! May you feel God’s presence in your life!

Steph, ((((BIG hug)))! I just said a prayer to God and another to St. Dymphna for your healing and deliverance from this heavy burden. I am very glad that you are in a safe place where you can get help, even though it’s rough to have to go there. Once they get you on the right combinations of meds, life will seem brighter and worth living again. My mother has depression and I have a cousin who is bipolar, so I’m no stranger to the psych ward scene. I have seen both go from suicidal to productive lives again, once they get their brain chemistry and meds straightened out. Mom was always very self-conscious about needing to be in the hospital, but like I always told her, those who love you only want you to get better, and there is no shame about being in there – the true shame is when people need help and don’t seek it because they are embarrassed! Even though you may feel very alone in this, Jesus, our Blessed Mother, and the holy angels and saints are with you, and your CAF friends are praying for you.

God bless you,
CarrieH :console:

Lord Jesus Christ hold Steph by the hand. Be with her and bless her. Assure her of your unconditional love. I pray to the Lord.

God Bless you. May you feel safe. May Almighty God shower you with strength and renewal.

Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. I recommend to You in particular Steph
Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
