I'm interested in becoming Catholic, but my wife isn't. Is that a problem?

I’m interested in becomming Catholic. Is it okay in the church’s eyes to do so even if my wife doesn’t want to? She says it is okay to research and pray about my decision, but to realize she will not follow me into the Catholic faith.
