I'm just curious about this

There are two radio stations that I often listen to in the car that play nothing but Christmas music during the Christmas season - which for one station begins the day after Thanksgiving and for the other has already started. But of course, after 12:01 am on December 26, you couldn’t find any Christmas music on the radio if your life depended on it.

I agree with you. I don’t think it’s right to play Christmas music before Thanksgiving the store i work for hadn’t started the Christmas music yet, but other stores in the mall are starting out early with the music.

My favorite humorous Christmas tune is the one with dogs barking at various pitches to Jingle Bells. They used to play that on the radio every Christmas season. I haven’t heard it on the air in a long time.

I also like “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer”. I have a Dr. Demento album full of those silly old parodies, and I have a few favorites.

That’s what I’m saying, you can like Christmas, that’s fine I’m not against that , you know I live in the United States, we’re supposed to have Thanksgiving first. I don’t really see any decorations for Thanksgiving, or even for fall in general, maybe a few here and there, but I’m already seeing a ton of Christmas decorations.

I miss the pretty Fall decor. Wreaths with colored leaves, scarecrows, Fall flowers, etc. It’s like Thanksgiving has just turned into that meal before Black Friday shopping. 🙁

You have a great point. They just bypassed Thanksgiving completely. I guess marketing just isn’t what it was. They’'re already having “Black Friday” sales on Best Buy emails so you can start spending your hard-earned dollar on items you likely do not need…

That is for sure. I have to work Thanksgiving and the two days after it’s turned into Christmas music the day before Thanksgiving up until at least right before new year’s eve and that is when everyone becomes scrooges for the rest of the year.
