I’ve come a long way with some of you here, and I thought that you deserve to know.

I’m not going to argue my reasons or anything, althoughb we can all guess why 🙂

It’s a very tough descision for me, but one that I have to make for the good of our family.

Thanks for all you guys’ help feedback guidance and assitance.

Your family will be in my prayers, that you be drawn to Jesus in the Eucharist.

I am sorry to hear that about anyone including someone I don’t know. Religion like anything else worthwhile is difficult. Don’t say goodbye, say see you later (alligator as my son used to say).🙂

I will say a Hail Mary for you…

Looking over the subject matter of the different threads you have started gives a good bit of insight as to a possible why you are leaving.

Rest assured you will be in our prayers. Thankfully, for now, you seem to understand that you are leaving the Church, not the other way around.

God Bless.

I left also for a while the Catholic Church. It was a desert time. I’m back…Jesus is always waiting. God bless you, and see you …,🙂

I’ll say a Hail Mary for you and you eventual return to the Church.

God Bless

The honesty and pain of your family’s struggles has been quite sobering. Know that there are so many who struggle just as hard within the Church, failing again and again to fully comprehend its teachings or conform their will to them. May you find peace and recognize, where ever you are, that it is God-given. He never abandons us and surely knows the sincerity of our sincere efforts to discern and serve His will.

How can you do that? It’s the only faith that has the whole truth and the sacraments. You need the graces the sacraments provide. We all do. F.

Prayers coming your way. If there is ever (EVER) anything I can do (this side of cyber world) please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I have read several of your threads and posts in the past and would be open to help, if you so choose.

God Bless you and your family!

You may take a break, but God never does.

Christ will be with you on your journey PM. May God bless you and keep you in his love. :gopray2:

The Church demands nothing less than absolute adherance to every doctrine of faith and morals.

“The cafeteria is closed!”, right?

Well, this is what happens when you’re force-fed dogma that you can’t bring yourself to believe.

To the OP: Congratulations. I’m glad you have taken your positions and the Church seriously, and I encourage you to continue to take them seriously.

This is a serious matter. Don’t allow your soul to be in danger. Continue to say your prayers whether you abandon the church or not. We are in a time of spiritual darkness where satan has become strong to confuse us and disallusion us. Protect yourself. Say the Prayer to St. Michael daily no matter what else you can bring yourself to believe. You may consider this a warning. Most of us have no idea of the spiritual warfare being conducted all around us. If you did you would be so frightened you would not be able to move. Say your prayers.

What makes you think my soul is in danger?

Because you support sin, the one thing that damns a person to hell. You support things contrary to christian doctrine and God’s law. And now your supporting someone leaving the church.

Your concern is touching. But doesn’t it make you wonder about a God who sends people to hell? It’s not like I’m supporting murder. I’m not supporting theft. I’m not supporting abortion. Nor am I supporting adultery or rampant promiscuity. Not even supporting polluting our atmosphere. I’m not supporting even something as small as not saying thank you to the lady at the drive through.

I’m supporting homosexuality - not promiscuity. Not cheating on your wife with another man. Not molesting adolescents. Not hitting on male pages. I’m against all those things. I am, however, for monogamous homosexual relationships that involve sexual intimacy. I also support married couples who choose to use contraception. I also support people who question things that they are told not to question; I support people who break rules that don’t make sense. I encourage critical thinking.

Funny that you should think your loving, personal, fatherly God would send me to hell for all eternity for that. Apparently it’s wrong for governments to imprison people for not believing certain things, but it’s not wrong for God.
