I don’t actually know where this belongs, but I figured it was too depressing for the Back Fence and Clubhouse forums.
After posting constantly for over two years now, I’ve decided it’s really time to take a break. I’m currently in the middle of applying to law schools, which takes up a lot of my time. I’m really hoping to get accepted somewhere, and I need to put a lot of effort into making sure my applications are strong, and it’s definitely my biggest worry at the moment. I was also just given a large responsibility for my internship in addition to having to write a 20 page research paper for the class that is related to it. All of this makes for a very busy schedule.
I’ve had a lot of doubts lately about some of the decisions that I’ve made, and some of the actions I have done in the past. I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes, hurt a lot of people and I don’t know that the people who I’ve hurt the most will be able to forgive me. I never wanted or intended to hurt anyone, I just didn’t think things out the way I should have. Unfortunately, as far as my spiritual life goes, I think my posting and responding is making the situation worse. I’ve really wondered several times if I’ve made the right decision in joining the Catholic Church. I can definitely see it in my posts that I’m not as charitable and balanced as I would like to be, and even if other poster’s aren’t noticing it, I know I certainly don’t feel as charitable as I was.
I’ll still be around to read posts, but I likely won’t be responding regularly at least until my schedule gets easier to manage. I think I need to just sit back and listen for awhile instead of taking any kind of involvement in some of the discussions. You can always PM me or e-mail me if you desire. As much as I haven’t liked some things about this forum in the past, I really have liked being here. There have been some great discussions, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know some of yo, even though we’ve never “met,” and I will keep you all in my prayers
God bless-
