I’m looking for Evening Prayer for 8/3/13.

This is the first time I ever prayed the Divine Office and I’d like to know what psalms were prayed and such.

Open to correction here…

8/3/13 was Saturday of the 17th week of ordinary time if that helps. You would have likely prayed Evening Prayer 1 of the 18th Sunday in ordinary time.

I don’t think that was a solemnity or mandatory feast and so everything would have been from the four week cycle except for the propers for Sunday. Not sure which week of the four week cycle it would have been but you are down to only four possibilities.

Unless I’m wrong. 🤷

18/4 = 4, remainder 2. It would therefore have been the beginning of Psalter, Week II, Sunday Evening Prayer I; propers from the 18th Sunday of Ordinary Time.

18/4=4, remainder 2. This means Evening Prayer I on the evening of August 3rd, 2013 would have taken its Psalms and canticle from Week II of the Psalter, with propers from the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. It would also have been the first time to use Volume IV that year.
