Many of you have probably seen my threads and know about my complicated problems

I sinned again today and I’m still too scared to ask my parents to take me to confession
All my problems make risks like asking them look out of the question

I feel like I’m doing so much wrong and few things hapoen right
I know it could be a sign earth isn’t my home and God can fix broken things but

I want to go back to before and don’t at the same time
I don’t want to be addicted to porn anymore
I don’t want to be scared to ask
I don’t want my childhood to end so soon especially while I’m such as mess wasting it
I have so many problems

I want to stop porn
But everytime I’m angry , sad ,tired ,scared, and feeling rejected
I’m drawn more to the thing I’m already addicted too
It doesn’t even feel good anymore and it’s boring
It lies

Most days of week I’m empty not crying not smiling just knowing I’m not happy but not near tears
I look foward to seeing my friends but I’m always afraid I do the wrong things

I know this a pointless rant(like most of my posts)

But I feel worthless, hopeless, and unable to do anything to stop it

My summer was partially wasted and I just hate it

Sorry I post like this alot
I just like to feel like I’m talking to someone rather than just thinking about it all

Don’t feel bad if you can’t help I’m not giving you guys much to work with but just teenage emotions with religious struggles to ice the cake

I struggled with a lot of sexual temptations when I was young so I feel some of your pain.
You are not lost, you are a child of God and He is right there beside you.
Please be assured of my prayers for you.

If you are old enough to write this, you are old enough to find your way to confession on your own. The only reason you have ever given for not going is that your parents will mock you.

Why can’t you get there? Are you disabled? Are you being held captive?

Furthermore, sad but true, a single confession is unlikely to root out this habit for good. Overcoming lust will take intense effort, much prayer, and a long time.

You post the same thing over and over again. You know what you need to do. What are you expecting from the people here?

I have dealt with lust in my life and wallowing in self pity is not the way out. You have to act. Otherwise all you have to look forward to is continued suffering.

Are you disabled? (Curious question)

You should be old enough to go to confession by yourself if you are a healthy, able bodied person.

Yeah but if I ride my bike to church I will get in trouble

I know it sounds stupid but is so demanding to ask the
It’s like voluntary biting off your finger your brain says no

And after I get there they will big as why i needed to go so bad
Then that on top of all my other issues

If my whole family knows their “wonderful son” has a orn addiction and overreacts
That would ruin me

Then once it passes I will probably still be lonely and now instead of just school I’m also at a job

I know this is all obvious “life sucks” facts but I hate it

I’m thinking I should try to sneak confession at this one church event
Hopefully my family doesn’t say “you should’ve said you were going”

I know my situation looks dumb to all of you and I don’t blame you because it is but I’m still afraid
I’m angry because its so something that stupid that’s seriously a problem
But I can’t seem to force myself to say it

I guess I will stop making threads
I’m sorry I sound like a stupid baby
Thanks for the prayers

For purity I recommend praying to Our Lady and St Aloysius Gonzaga. They’ve helped me

I think you should try to overcome your feelings when your family comments on these things. Many other Catholics have to deal with this on a daily basis especially converts.

People don’t just go to Confession cause they’ve gravely sinned. Many go devotionally every two weeks or every week. I know very devout people who do this. Its encouraged by the Church and its normal.

The reason you want to confess is between God, you and the confessor. What if you told your family, “mom, dad, I want to go to Confession regularly to help me spiritually. I know we might not have the same opinion on this, but the Church says frequent Confession is good, and in my case I believe it would be good for me spiritually”. Would this be honest enough? I mean, it is the real reason - to help you spiritually. What this means no one needs to know. But you need this for your soul. It takes effort to overcome impurity and it takes Sacraments and prayer… We need grace and cooperation with it. In the end, whatever your family said, you’ll be glad you went. Pray for fortitude… Read the lives of the Saints who endured taunting from others. St Aloysius Gonzaga was opposed by his father. St Gemma and St Kateti were mocked or mistreated.

Why do you say you would get in trouble taking the bike?

Is there a bus that goes there?

I know things seem tough, and this may sound trite, but it DOES get better. I promise! Teen years are always hard.

I would recommend confession ASAP. If you must tell your parents, just say something like, “I am trying to move closer to God,” or “I just want to speak to the priest about some things I have been feeling.” If they are good parents, they will be happy that you are seeking help from your priest.

You will be in my prayers. I know how hard the sin of lust can be to overcome, but pray, pray and pray some more. I still struggle, but I know as long as I keep myself close to Our Lord in prayer, He will help you.

I like that idea and I’ve thought of it
Just waiting for a good moment to say it

I brought up the word confession and prayed that others will
Because I prayed the word popped up more than usual (thanks to God)
It didnt work but its a good idea and I also rehearse what I will say so its easier

I know my fears seem like over reactions and while the partly are
  1. My brother agrees with my fears(and he doesn’t even know about my sinful addiction)he never asks to go even though we both enjoy it
  2. One time I asked “when” we were going and my mom got all smug and asked “why do you have something you need to confess” trying to get something out of me while laughing
I just said I was wondering when because this is when we usually go
I know I should just act but its hard to get over the obstacle and find the right time to speak
Embarrassment and emotion pain are my worst fears
I think I would honestly rather get kicked in the face and be able to go lol

Just think, you are getting opposed for wanting to do something good. Pray for your family to realize the beauty of Confession too 🙂

That’s a heroic way of thinking

I like to think its just God and me who see a point to doing it
But I really need to transform now

Because sometimes I’m so focus on having to deal with something rather risking trying to prevent it

It’s hard to pray when feeling guilty, depressed, and scared but it is so worth it because it works

I love God just working on getting myself back

Just right now as I’m typing he saw me really down and he fixed a part of my life
He gave me something just because he doesn’t want to see that way

I need to commit myself and realize he will always do that

On the way back from school/movies/anywhere, you can go to church and find a priest. You don’t have to tell your family that you are going to church/confession. My family likes to tease as well, although they are religious. I just told them I was going to the mall. I stopped by at the church, had confession, and then went to the mall 🙂

I’m a mother, and I know it’s hard for me to accept that my children might really need to go to Confession. I mean, it’s sometimes hard to accept that they are growing up.

If your brother agrees with you, maybe the two of you could go together to your parents and talk to them about taking you two more regularly. I had the chance to confess weekly for several months, and it was really good for me in many ways 🙂

You and your brother could pray, maybe make a novena, for your parents and for their help in getting to confession. And make sure you are saying your morning prayers, at least.

Try praying the Litany of Humility each day. It will sink in.

Also, when you are tempted, pray for help! Pray to God, to Our Lady, to St Michael the Archangel, to your patron saint. Just pray until the temptation passes, and repeat as necessary, as it will be. Then also watch out for sneak attacks, temptations to do other things and do the same for those temptations.

Mortifying yourself, both for your confession intention and your temptations. Start with one small thing each day, decide ahead of time what it will be. It can be the same thing every day (no dessert at lunch) or different (no dessert at lunch on Monday, skip favorite tv show on Tuesday, take the trash to the curb on Wednesday…

This may seem like a lot all at once, work your way up to it as well as you can, and remember that continuing to do small things is better than resolving but failing to do big things!

Well that’s the thing lol
I’m homeschooled and whenever I go to church it’s with my family or not time for confession
Mostly it’s me with my family

I would love to somehow make it a thing that I just go to church by myself but my parents aren’t at that level yet
Probably soon I hope

I actually tried to get my brother to help(and this took alot of courage)

I told my brother that I lied when I promised to God to tell the truth
But it was a while ago and just forgot to mention it in confession (all true btw)

He said just wait till next time we go (we already past lent which is when we go I honestly think my parents only go if we have to) I said I want to go more anyway but mom and dad are so annoying when we ask (more my mom my dad is fine but still awkward and he tells my mom)

I kept asking him to join up with but he was just as scared as I hide in myself
So it didn’t work and he tried to ignore it

Maybe that’s why I’m afraid to ask him again because he will get suspicious

Brother,

When I reverted to the Faith, I had this problem, and I found that I trusted too much in myself to overcome these sins.
But our bodies are inclined to do these things, and we’ll fail without Jesus’ help. St Paul was tempted greatly to some sin, and Jesus said “My grace is sufficient” So I recommend praying more often against these things, and I promise youll be pure just like the saints.

I believe that you can be very pure if you try the daily rosary, try small (like no sugary foods) mortifications, and ask your parents to take away your computer if its an occasion of sin.

Obviously, with the last part, that may not be possible. Then beg them to get you “covenant eyes” which is a good software. Get rid of the occasion of sin, and the sin will get rid of itself. Dont be embarrassed, because I find that the one who gets up 7 times to be the saint over the one who falls 7 times and gives up.

Try mental prayer, meditating on the Passion, the Catholic faith isnt a new faith. People have lived centuries for ways to live a pure life!

Will pray for you Mon and Tues.

Thank you I really hope I can get over this soon it’s the biggest problem I’ve ever had

Please take care of your body too; many have found hard physical exercise a great help and blessing. After a long run or ballet class the body is healthily tired.Or heavy housework or gardening.

Also this releases endorphins which make you feel better,

The right food too,
