well, i suppose youre entitled to your opinion, but having never met me, nor lived the life that i have lived (grew up in the church of christ while not so ritualisticly catholic, and was baptised) which was rather pleasant, upper middle class, im going to have to assume that that which goes on in my mind and my heart are quite truthful and accurate, thank you… and when exactly did you meet adam and eve, that they were such great role models, who not only got us kicked out of eternal paradise, but also raised a murderer?

You’re obviously looking for an argument, so I’m not going to humor you. I think that’s a consequence of homosexuality, open homosexuals always want to cause a scene, just another way of rebelling I suppose.

Actually if as mentioned above you are a virgin who has a dispositon toward same sex attraction then you have not likely committed a grave sin. A person’s homosexual disposition is certainly not in inself sinful. Many great Catholics in this situation, while not having to lie about their disposition, are living in perfect conformity to Church teaching.
Firstly, no one said you were going to hell.
Secondly, they addressed the homosexual issue because you yourself brought it up.
Thirdly, they probably focused on it over the agnostic position because most people are agnostic/athiest because of some other underlying issue in their life. They may have had a bad experience with a religious person or may have had an overbearing parent that made them fear authority, etc. It seem a logical conclusion that your same sex attraction and your feeling of being attacked by the faith for that disposition could easily lead you to a difficulty in believing in God. Hence some of us choosing to focus on that first.

actually, i came here seeking opinons, not condemnation, also, i wasnt the one who started in on anothers lifestyle… i understand that for organized religion, that gays are the new bogeyman, but i guess we all need something to persecute…
man i miss the inquisition…
also, people are instigative jerks, regardless of sexuality…

You need to go to Sunday mass, kneel down and pray [without doing what you usually do on your knees], and ask your Lord and Creator sincerely for forgiveness, and for the holy light to shine upon you.

to be truthful, my “problem” with god is that ive had 7 of my best friends die by the time i was 22, as well as watching my entire church excommunicate my mother because she had an affair… they did so because god said what she did put her out of his eyes… im agnostic because im too smart for my own good… ive seen too much of this world to blindly follow something that cannot be proven… BUT i cant disprove the possiblilty, so im not going to worry about it either way…
also, mortal sin = hellbound…
on yet another note (damn im long winded) there is no greater showing of love than the physical act, correct, so when i do fall in love, i will consummate it, nor will i regret it, simply because it will be an act of love, not lust, not because im horny, but because im in love, which is more than i can say for most of my christian friends who are having premarital sex with several different people, but hey, where is it my place to say what theyre doing is wrong?

adam and eve were gods first children this is true. but god made people able to choose. and they make choices that are bad and can lead to bad things. adam and eve also teach us this to it is true. it is also a tale of caution. but by choosing god only good things can happen. and thats how one gets into heaven.

but also, life is not just about sex. i love girls and even i am know this. ha-ha. you do not have to always be having sex to know this. i date many number of girls before i meet the one i love.

This was an excellent way to start. Thank you for beginning in such a civil way. Perhaps we can start over. I’m sure we could really a heart felt discussion with you about your inquiries.
That is discussing points of Truth but in a way that maintains each others dignity by maintaining an atmosphere of Charity.
Christ is about Truth in Charity.

See this is exactly the type of comments that are kurt and uncharitable. If a person wants to represent Christ and bring a person to true happyness then name calling is counter to the goal of Christ.
If he came here asking questions then offer him an olive branch and speak with him respectfully. Bring him to Christ. That’s what Christ wants.

this is an attitude i have had yet to see here, and its refreshing… im not looking for some one to convert me, i simply wish to know why i am targeted more than anyone else, yknow? i dont see why something that 1) i didnt choose and 2) doesnt affect anyone other than me (at this point) needs to be demonized… ive suffered enough cruelties growing up, being a nerdy kid who read comics and kept to himself, that as an adult, i thought things would change and everyone would rise above it… in all honestly, im extremely jealous of all of you… you believe with all your hearts that god is there guiding and watching you, but i KNOW that hes not, and he hasnt seen me for a long time, and its been long enough that i dont want him to, i truly am past the point of no return due to my apathy, and i dont need people to tell me i can change, i know this, but he doesnt deserve some one who he says is an abomination…
