Well I was confirmed at Easter and I have received Holy Communion a whopping two times!!

I’m not a Catholic and I don’t know why I ever thought I could be.

The fact that you were Confirmed at Easter means that you are Catholic.

I’d love to offer some advice, but the post is too vague. Why haven’t you received Communion more than twice? Is it due to mortal sin stoping you? Do you just not feel like going to Mass? Again, I would like to help you get through this, but will need more info.

Your post seems like a random thought to yourself instead of the beginning of a discussion. Why did you get confirmed? Something brought you back. What happened since then to keep you away? Is it just apathy (can’t seem to care enough to get to mass) or something else? 🤷

I’ll take a wild stab and offer that maybe you thought becoming a Catholic and being Confirmed would make you automatically a new on fire Christian.

The Grace from the Sacraments need to work with your will. You need to put in the effort. Grace and will is everything. Don’t worry about a lack of feelings. It is just like in a good marriage. Will is the decision and commitment to make it work. The feelings are secondary and may not always be there. Pray, spend time if you can before the Blessed Sacrament and ask the Eucharistic Jesus for your intellect to be enlightened, your will strengthend, and your heart filled with His love. And like I say, don’t worry about how you feel. It isn’t about feelings, it’s about God’s Grace and your will. I hope this helps you.

OP: You seem to be struggling right now: Prayers for you!:gopray2:

Ditto!

Being Catholic doesn’t mean sin isn’t tempting, it doesn’t mean that we won’t fail in sin ever again, it doesn’t mean life will be all rosy all the time.

Being Catholic does mean that if we are truly repentant we can be forgiven of our sins in the sacrament of Reconciliation, it does mean that we can receive Jesus in the sacrament of Holy Communion, and it does mean that no matter how hard life can be, we are never alone.

Based on some other posts I’ve seen by you, it seems you might have an issue with scrupulosity, though I’m not an expert on it. Can you speak with your priest or confirmation sponsor? I’m sure they’d be able to help you too.

Don’t walk away from Jesus – He loves you so much! :hug1:
