I'm not sure if this would be sinful or not?

I know we’re not supposed to join rotary club because it funds embreyonic stem cell research and abortion, but the rotary club here is giving our school ages and wish lists for kids for Christmas presents and our class is raising some money to give to them to buy the present…would it be wrong for me to give some money for this? Would it be considered supporting rotary?
 
You’re really just giving money to the poor kids in question. Rotary’s general fund is not affected by this donation, because they will not fund these presents if you fail to do so, and your money never touches the general fund. Therefore, your donation will not subsidize any stem cell research.

This is different from taxpayer funding of abortion, for example, because even though we’re “paying” for “contraception”, that money goes straight into Planned Parenthood’s general fund, and we effectively cover some of their costs so they can use the other money on abortions. That’s a subsidy, and it is immoral. This is not a subsidy, so I say go for it.
 
Do you know for sure that 100% of the funds will go towards these presents, that none of it will go to “administrative costs”, helping the Rotary Club function?

Personally, there are so many good charities and causes out there that I just don’t donate to ones that are iffy or which I don’t know much about.
 
I’m about 90% sure that none of it will go to rotary…but not completely. But I found out that the "fellowship of christian athletes"at our school is doing the same thing, so I’ll give some money to them instead

If you have money to spare to give to a charity why don’t you give it to a Catholic charity?
 
Simply donate it to the local Catholic Church. They will know where best to use it to help the local poor people - the people you don’t know are poor. The people that you don’t even notice.
