Today I received all my rites of initiation! I was Confirmed (St.Peter the Apostle) and had first Holy Eucharist! I was surprised by how normal Eucharist tasted obviously in my heart and my mind I knew it was Jesus but it was interesting to finally receive it and because of everything going on didn’t get to focus on it as much. But there is always next mass! I just wanted to post this because I have been on this forum since I started thinking about the church around a 1 3/4 to 2 years ago and this forum has helped me so much in my faith! God Bless You All!

Welcome home! :hugs: ❤️

Prokimenon, Tone 2: The Lord is my strength and my song of praise, and He has become my salvation. (Psalm 117: 14 LXX)

One thing about this C-19 crisis is that it has taught me not to take Divine Liturgy and Holy Communion for granted. Thanks be to God, I was able to receive Our Lord on Pascha (Easter) and on the anniversary of my First Holy Communion in May. After that, I couldn’t get to confession for a month and a half. I finally got to go to confession and Holy Communion on my birthday. My happiness was indescribable.

And thanks be to God that our parishes finally reopened.

Suggestions: Ask the Holy Spirit to help you prepare for confession and Our Lady to help you prepare for Holy Communion. Most of all, thank God after confession and after receiving Him in Holy Communion. The Saints say that the best time to ask God for graces is when you have Him within you after Holy Communion.

Our Lord gave this short prayer to be said after receiving Him in Holy Communion: “Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, may the whole world burn with love for Thee!”

How WONDERFUL! Please continue to stick around and share your thoughts with us. This being Catholic is, as is often said, a work in progress, and it helps us to find our niche to see the perspectives of those we admire. (Lol! And those we don’t!)

This will forever be a day to remember! 🎈🥤 🍰 Come grow with us!
