Im okay w/ Stem Cell research but NOT embryonic stem cell reasearch ...is that okay

I believe that killing an embryo (HUMAN BEING) to get stem cells from him or her is absolutley immoral and I also disagree with genetic engineering and human cloning.
but I find that stem cells taken from the embillical cord when a child is already born dosent infringe on morality…is this consistent with church teaching

You should know that stem cells can also been harvested from adults. There has been a lot of progress there- more than in either embryonic stem cells or stem cells harvested from the umbilical cord. 👍

I agree. The breakthroughs to date are much more through adult stem cells than embryonic stem cells and from what I have read many scientists say they have most potential.
