Hi everyone,

I’m really looking for some help here with your prayers.

I’ve been addicting to porn and masturbation for about the last 7 years. It started in 7th grade before I really knew what masturbation was and that it was wrong and would lead to the problems it has. It has nearly ruined one of the best friendships I’ve ever had with a wonderful girl and it has distorted my views on just about everything.

Today, however, marks day 6 of being clean, which is the longest I’ve gone in over a year, I think. And I feel really positive about it this time, I have a good motivator (the friend I mentioned, mostly) and I’m handling my thoughts better.

So please, everyone, say a prayer that I break this addiction this time around! I’ve been trying for over three or four years without success.

Thank you and God bless!

Prayers! 🙂 And congrats on day six! How wonderful that you are even trying, and so hard at that. God sees that and is very pleased with that. 🙂 Trying counts for a lot with God. Don’t ever quit trying, no matter how many times you may fall. Please keep praying and trying, no matter what. God will get you through this, have faith in Him and trust in His love for you. And you are doing great. Keep that good friend, and make best friends with Jesus during this difficult time. God bless and keep you!

ohh yeah i think im one week 1 and 1/2… I know what your going thru. just keep it up 👍

Jesus we ask you to take buckr02’s hand and never let it go as he struggles to make a new life for himself. Send him to places where he may meet loving caring people. Let him not be idle. Help him to walk and enjoy nature again. Help him to see the beauty of your wonderful world and the wonder of the animals, birds, and your creation which you have made just for him.

You, oh Jesus, extend your love always to us to help us. Let John feel the Holy Spirit; feelings of peace, and feelings that all is well and all will be well. Teach him to think good. Help him to understand that he is a good person. May he realize that he is valuable in your eyes and your fondest wish is that he may find something to do in his life. May he walk down a new road that takes him far away from the old life that didn’t bring happiness.

God, you and you alone are able to make all things new. Every day is a new beginning. Every day is a day to start over.

If John falls down once again into a mud puddle we have faith that you will pick him up, dry off his clothes, wipe the mud off his shoes, and send him out to play again. He need not stay down if he slips up for one day. It doesn’t matter to you how many times he falls. It is only important that he can get up again and back on the road.

Give John the strength, the courage, the hope, the faith that he can do it. He is not less than other people for you love all people equally. Jesus you love the weak most of all for it is a chance for you to show your strength in making John well again. You are strong and you will carry John to the top of the mountain. John will go forward and never look back.

God, send your angels to protect John, to watch over him and keep him from all evil. Thank you Father. Praise you Jesus.

We ask and believe in Jesus Name. Amen. As we have believed so may it be done.

Because the stars are set so high
Shall I accept defeat
What then would keep me looking up
If they were at my feet?

This is a struggle that a lot of people deal with - much more than talk about it. I have dealt with it on my blog, the issue of pornography, which is a bigger industry in the US than all pro sports combined…

Know that you are not alone in having to deal with this, and that if you fall, don’t give up! Frequent confession and Mass attendance allieviates much stress, pressure and temptation.

I truly believe that in issues of addiction, the biggest threat is not succumbing to the temptation to addiction, so much as it is succumbing to the temptation of believing you are irredeemable and the struggle is not worth enduring. Jesus, who was fully God and fully man fell three times under the weight of the cross.

It is expected we will fall much more still. KEEP GETTING UP. Say your prayers, involve yourself in Christian meditation, and never give up.

May God and the angels watch over you always. May God send you comfort, peace, hope, faith, and love as you walk a new road. God is with you now. God is here. God sees. God knows. God wants to give you the miracle of a better life because He loves you, because you are a special person. There is nobody else like you. Jesus is pulling you up gently onto your feet and saying : “You can do it. I am with you. I will be your strength. Lean on me. Trust me. Go out. Walk on…walk on to a new life and leave the old behind.” Jesus is always about new beginnings and oh how he loves you just as you are. How he loves to see you come home and return to happiness and joy. He picks you up; he cradles you and cushions you so that nothing evil may ever again touch you. He says : “Walk out on the old…walk away…walk into the newness of life which is waiting for you”.
God Bless You And Keep You Safe Every Day For the Rest of Your Life.

Prayers for you, brother! I lost a loved one to this problem, may God be at your side through your struggle!

Sorry I got your name mixed up with someone else. I was trying to email you on messages but I don’t know how. Here’s what I was saying to you:

One thing I really believe in Bill besides prayer is the power within ourselves. Its very hard but we ourselves have the power to make choices about “how to think”. We need to think good especially about ourselves and try to live in the NOW. Forget about yesterday and tomorrow. One day at a time sweet Jesus…lol. Our thoughts brought us to where we are today. If we think we’re low down no good bums that’s what we’ll be and what life will bring to us. If we think we’re good and as surely as good as anyone else life will bring us goodness. Don’t put yourself down! Don’t talk bad about yourself to yourself or anyone else.Love yourself. You need to love yourself before anyone else will love and respect you. Look in the mirror and say : “I’m good. Today will be a good day.”
Be careful of what you wish for. You just might get it.
Our own thoughts have so much power its scary.
I’m working on myself too and falling down but getting back up. I’m trying to stop thinking negative, away with the sad songs and crying in my beer…laugh. I’m trying for happy! Happy music!
You’re gonna do just fine…I said so! You’ve got guts. You can do it.

Have a terrific day. Something good is going to happen to you.

buckr02 - Congrats on day 6. Keep it going. You cannot do it alone, but with Jesus by your side, you can do anything. Go to confession and cleanse your soul. This will open you up to more graces, and give you strength in this battle.

Remember, you are in a war, a war for souls. Become a warrior of Christ. Confession, the Eucharist, prayer, the brown scapular, and the rosary are just a few of your weapons against evil. Pray to your Blessed Mother in heaven and ask for Her guidance and protection.

You have an addiction, but one that you can overcome in your faith. As “asimplesinner” stated, if you fall down in sin, get right back up and back into the battle. Do not become a slave to sin. Fight, fight, and fight some more. You can do it with the Lord’s help. When tempted, pray. When tempted, read something about our great saints. Pick up the bible. Pray to your Blessed Mother.

I will pray for you and ask that you be given the strength and perseverance you need to overcome this addiction.

Thank you all so much for your support!

Day 7 is going strong and I feel really positive about everything and really happy for the first time in months! Your support and prayers mean so much and I am praying for each of you.

Thanks and God Bless!

I am praying for you, Buck02. Stay strong and pray, pray, pray.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Congratulations…all is Grace and all things possible with Grace.
Remember that saints are sinners who dont give up.
Will be keeping you in daily prayer that Grace will daily grow stronger in you…

buckr02:

I’m praying for your strength to resist temptation.

Prayerfully,

Renato
