I'm Pagan...

Ill just let you sit on the knowledge that I am 17, male. I have a boyfriend, whom I love and do naughty things to in public settings. I strongly dislike the Catholic church in that they have kept me down, and my strong Pagan ties have given me stablilty and strength through the hardest of times. All without God, Jesus, or Jehovah, bet you didn’t know that was possible.

May be wondering why a Pagan is coming onto a Catholic forum, well… I’m not begging for my soul, I’m returning the favor. Too many Catholic visit the Pagan forum and tell us what sinners and heathens we are. In fact many of us aren’t Heathen in that, Heathen is a completely unique spiritual path, like druidism, Witchcraft, etc.

On that note, I open the floor to you all, and finger my pentacle lovingly as I wait for responses.

I am middle-aged (I guess I am, at least that’s what the books say) and I have a daughter who taunts me, habitually–when I’m in a bad mood, sometimes she gets me to respond, but when I’m not in a bad mood, mostly I smile at her and enjoy the exchange, and respond with affection. Right now I am smiling.

We’re all God’s children and none of us should be calling you or anyone else anything, not heathen, not a sinner…I’ll keep my heart open and you keep your heart open–and stop playing with your pentacle! 🙂

I’d like to thank you for your words of welcome, really. I recognize that there are nice Catholics out there, only this thread is directed at the ingnorant ones. I’ve had to many people say harsh things to believe that all catholics are as nice as you. So… I wait yet again… for the ignorant ones to show…

I know trolling for insults online isn’t pleasing to our God, and I’m pretty sure it’s not pleasing to your gods either (well, unless you’re a devotee of Loki or something). What do you hope to gain by starting a fight? 🤷

If you are looking for a religious-based argument I would try the discussion boards at www.carm.com. Try the evangelical threads, they’d love to see you. 🙂
 
Welcome. Happy to have you here. 👍 . I am curious as to what you mean by ignorant Catholics? Are there not ignorant Pagans as well? Just my 2 cents.

I used to live the gay life style as well. I had a boyfriend that I loved very much. But I found out how “not ok” gay men are. Even the best ones have serious issues. I suggest that you leave the life style before being seriously hurt. I know form experience how these things go. But you may have to learn that lesson for yourself. We often do. I am not judging by any means. Just sharing the lessons I have learned.

Pagan I grew up Roman Catholic so I know exactly what you are saying. Then I fell away and lived the life you are living now. I probably started that life around 18 or so when I went to college, lived away from home, did all the nasty things you describe with multiple partners. Not at one time but pretty sequentially. I drank, smoked pot, lived the night club life. I thought the church kept me down. Didn’t like going and listening to the holier than thou remarks. Thought I knew better.

I got married at 27 and just figured if it didn’t work I’d get divorced which is just what I did. Then I fathered a child out of wedlock, lived on the edge, lived for money, you name it. I’m quite certain I have much more experience than you with regard to living the wild lilfestyle. Some of the things I’ve done would probably make you look like an Angel. So nothing you are doing would surprise me or others on these boards in the very least:)

But eventually GOD worked HIS way back into my life about 10 years ago. Actually I never realized he was doing it, things just started to happen that ultimately led to where I am today. Now I won’t bore you with those details because I know at age 17 you have that ultimate defiance attitude that I’m sure I’ll have to contend with when my daughter reaches that age. I’m actually seeing it with my 2 sons ages 15 and 17 who think they are sooo cool. So basically it will go in one ear and out the proverbial other:) And I know you know so much better than anyone could because you’re 17 and have so much wisdom. Do I sound sarcastic? Just a little because as I read your post I was reminded of those days when I thought I was KING (insert expletive).

So go ahead and have your fun now, you won’t get any “please don’t do this, you’re wasting your life stuff from me”, and know that really good Christians will be waiting to help you when you ultimately fall flat on your face. And yes you will because we all do. I did, my wife did, everyone on this board probably has. When GOD picks you up you’ll know it. Only then will you be willing to look right at HIM and admit to how stupid you really were. And guess what? HIS love and forgiveness will be there with open arms just as it always is. That’s why HE’s so awesome. It’s just a shame it will take you sooooooooooo long to realize that.

Hi Pagan Fury, I am a recent convert from paganism so I understand where you’re coming from. Have fun here, although I definitely will give a strong second recommendation for the forums at CARM. It’s a real laugh riot over there; this forum is quite mild by comparison.

Just so you know, it’s against Catholic teaching for any Catholic to judge the soul of another human. We don’t have the authority to determine whether or not you go to Hell. If any Catholic was doing that to you, they were in the wrong.

The Church, under the Pope can declare if someone is in Heaven, but can not under any circumstance declare that someone is in Hell.
 
My ancestors were pagans too, though not sure if they were gay but Celts were rumored to be pretty amorous with little inhibitions so there probably was a considerable amount of that going on during long war campaigns…

Anyway I’m a deist borderline agnostic, Yankee fan, and amateur violinist…
