to see such devoteness and attempts at cleansing both subtle and blunt. almost warms my little heart.

though pagan…you see…they dont understand…they never will becuase of the fear inside them. the want to hang on to something causes them to acutally believe what these men wrote in a book. and though much of the older material is true (though inherently twisted) much of the newer testament is false. and even in genesis, lies are spread because a man was decieved, and then unforgiven by his “loving” God

Welcome to the forums. Care to start a new thread based on your misconceptions? I am sure one or more of our knowledgeable members can clear up what you believe to be false.

He didn’t back down from those who told him to shut up and died for it. Would you have guts enough to keep speaking out if someone threatened to kill you? I bet not.
 
I’ll stand for what I believe no matter what and until I die. It’s a matter of pride and principle. But you did not answer my question, a person who choses to die is technically a suicidal and isn’t that a hell worthy sin in your religion?

He did not want to die but he knew that if he did not then mankind would be lost. His death was not in defeat but in triumph so that sins may be forgiven for all men including yourself. His death was not a wasted death but a sacrifice that only God could do. His love for you was so great so that man would have eternal happiness, that he suffered lashings that would rip out pieces of his flesh over his entire body. A crown with thorns over an inch long was jammed over his head piercing the flesh and into the skull. Then nails were hammered into his hands and feet, lifted up on the cross he was then left to die a slow death. No man ever showed such love for another.

It’s no more suicidal than you standing for what you believe until you die. He chose not to shut up and knew they would kill him for it. If you knew someone would kill you, would you call it suicide if you didn’t shut up and you died for it?

Additionally, he believed he was going to be alive in three days, not stay dead. So he wanted to live. And we generally view suicide as the result of not wanting to live anymore, don’t we?

So your argument fails against mine, just like I said it would.

He knew he would live again after three days, you misunderstood.

You would fight and then blow the prophecy of being led like a lamb to slaughter which Messiah has to do.

Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

So Jesus didn’t call down the angels to save him since it would blow the prophecy.

Matthew 26:53-54 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
