I'm praticing being a Catholic Apologetic. Can you help?

Okay, now for a real classic:

If God is all-powerful, how come bad things happen to good people?

Because, my dear friend, humans are blessed with a Free Will. They may do good if they wish, they may do bad if they wish. God blessed us with that because otherwise we would be robots.
 
Okay, explain the primacy of Peter.

Several times Jesus has given proof that Peter was to lead the apostles: the most used (and best) quote is from Matthew 16:18-19
[Jesus said], And so I say, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church. The gates of hades shall not overcome it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you loose on earth shall be loose in heaven and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.

Being a pun on words, Jesus literally said, “You are Rock and upon this rock I will build my church…”

I do realize that, its a touchy subject.

Through apostle succession, the Church has been granted the powers of forgiving ones sins.

Remember we are successors of the Twelve, and Jesus Himself gave the origonal Twelve the aforementioned power - among others.

Any Catholic in his or her right mind will know that we do NOT worship Mary. We just honor her on a very large scale. (I know that’s a ****** excuse, but I’m a lil tired).

I applaud the determination that you have in order to try to improve your skils as an apologist.
I have a question that many athestis ask. Other people are welcome to answer it as well.
It is akin of a philosophic question. Im not very sure, but I think that Leibniz answered this question in his book Theodicy.

If God knows everything, then he must know in advance if I, by my free will am going to go to hell before I already exist.
So is he giving us life knowing already that we are going to go to hell, Wouldnt it be better if he simply refused to give life to the people that are going to be condemned?

If you knew that your child was going to die in a terrible car crash, would you kill him now, to avoid that death?

No - if you are a normal parent, you would spend every possible moment with him here and now, and give him as much happiness as you could in the days before the car crash is to take his life.

God, too, savours the moments of our joy here on earth, and wants us to experience them, even if He already knows that we are going to go to Hell. (And perhaps this is the answer to the question of Qoheleth, of why it is that the greatest sinners seem to be given the greatest happiness here in this life - perhaps this is God’s compensation to them for the fact that they will experience no happiness at all in the next life.)

Well, my own opinion is that there is no predestination, so noone can ever say that someone is already condemned.
I believe God acts and intervens in the “present time”, we know that from the bible and from all the covenants that he established.
So the future is what we make of the present.

I think this question have to do with the mistery of God respecting our free will to the extreme.
I think this issue could be explained by one of this two options:

-He could know already that we are condemned but he has to respect the free will that he granted to us. therefore the free will could be something dangerous, and could entails terrible conzequenses.
(taking on account that to deserve to be condemned is something really dificult to attain, because of his mercy. Therefore one would justly deserve that punishment).

-He can’t know my future because that is up to me.
God has an extreme respect for the “free will” that he has granted to me, and therefore that free will dosent allow him to know if im already condemned.
and this could be a “consequence” of the free will that he has granted to me. (just as evil is a consequence of the free will, and it wasent created by God).
Therefore there would be no predestination to hell and everything would be in the present time.
This option would explain why God acts in the present time and it would explain that there is no predestination to hell, just as the church claims.

In both cases we are the ones that decide whether we are condemned. The condemnation seems to be an issue that is appart from God.
and also one must understand more in depht the mistery of the “free will” in order to have a better understanding, and an accurate answer to this topic.

Anyway, I 'd like to hear more thoughts and opinions about it.
