I was baptized in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, but attended Catholic school and did the whole first reconciliation, first communion and confirmation through the Church.

I am correct in calling myself a Roman Catholic, right?

You were incorporated into Christ’s church through Baptism, yes. And when you were confirmed, you took the faith upon yourself. So yes, you are Catholic. But I hope you also identify yourself as such because you love the teachings and not simply where you got the sacraments! 😃

They’re the only teachings I know!

I remember going around when I was a kid telling people that I was “half Catholic and half Lutheran”.

There was another kid in school who also had a Catholic and Lutheran parent, we thought we were so unique and edgy.

I spent about four months in an LCMS Lutheran church before I became Catholic. It was a very eye opening experience.

consider yourself fortunate to have attended Catholic schools and received the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. I had a Catholic father and a Lutheran mother who joined the Episcopal church to raise me in the Episcopal church. I still found my way Home though. 🙂

I would have to think that is you believe everything that the Catholic Church teaches: you do not have to understand everything the Catholic Church teaches, but believe all and everything the Church teaches is true, attend Mass and participate in the sacraments you would be consider a Catholic.

Everything the Catholic Church teaches as been given to the Church by Christ, the fullness of truth.

🙂
