Hello OP! šŸ™‚

First off, please recognize how well of a position you are in! You are a young woman who is lucky enough to be able to go to school and get an amazing career (PA!!).

You are so blessed! Take it from me, a girl on an extremely similar career path as yourself. :). I don’t devote time to worrying about things like this because I know that, no matter what, I have God with me. Trust Him and one by one the puzzle pieces in your life will fall together! You sound like a very lovely person and I am sure you will be extremely successful in life, OP. I don’t think you have anything to worry about! :):)šŸ™‚
Thank you so much for saying all that! :). I needed to hear that.

I hear ya! :console:

I’m 33. I had excruciatingly painful periods from severe endometriosis all my ā€œwomanhoodā€ that ended up literally taking over my body to the point I had to get a hysterectomy/oophorectomy. Now I’m struggling with a very difficult and debilitating menopause. I am basically homebound these days from it and who knows how long this seemingly endless trial will last.

On top of all that my husband and I suffered through ten years of infertility, and our one and only miracle child is dead. 😦 And now I am permanently and irreversibly infertile. We can’t adopt because of my mental health and finances. I will never have children or grandchildren. Ever. The one thing that makes all the pains of womanhood ā€œworth it.ā€ Nope not me. 😦

I hate hate HATE being a woman. It really sucks. 😦
:hug1:

Please remember there are some of us here who have you in our prayers and are on your side.

I’m so sorry it has been like this for you. I’m praying really hard for you to find peace, hope and love. If it’s any consolation, your baby is waiting for you and so is Jesus. Try to feel Jesus’ loving arms around you. Tell him all the hurt you are feeling and ask him to join it to his own because you don’t know what to do with it… Just say over and over Jesus, I trust in YOU. Take care of everything. And then have faith that he will do it.

I hate that I’m emotional, I hate that I’m weak. I hate that I have to put forth all this effort to look good, do my hair and makeup, wear cute clothes, and not get fat, and even though I do all that, there will still always be women who are better-looking than me without trying half as hard as I do, and I can never keep up with them. I hate that I’m judged so harshly for such superficial garbage that men don’t have to deal with half as much. I hate that all my body is geared towards is producing children, which I’m seriously questioning if I’m ever meant to have them or not. I know I’m only 22, but I’m seriously thinking about that and really don’t think I want children. It’s not that I don’t like them, I volunteer with them a lot at my parish and get along great with them. Some little kids really steal my heart and bring me so much joy. I just don’t believe I should have one of my own. And if I don’t want children, I know I can never get married.

I’m afraid that I won’t find my calling in life. Am I just meant to spend my life working in a career? I want to be a physician assistant; am I meant to spend my life dedicated to medicine? What should I do? How can I stop hating myself so much?
Hey my friend. I’m a bit late to this thread. But I know good solid venting when I see it.

You already know my opinion of you. You already know I think you’re top-shelf. So the rest? I’m just all sympathy here. I mean I think about this a lot actually. The hits that girls take in life. The extra carry they’ve got built in.

So I just want you to know that as a guy? I really and totally respect women for this and the other stuff they’ve been dealt. I think this is a big part of what makes them so special. So worth serving with a true heart.

I think of the women in my life. I think of all they did. And I realize most of my role models have been women. I mean my mother built in me a sense of values. It was a group of girls who got me on the path of being Catholic. It was a girl who gave me a hand out of darkness. It was a handful of women who help land me on my feet when I got here. And another one who kept me from veering off course.

And even lately. One helped me land a job where I’m at. One got me the idea I could get a better rate where I’m staying.

And others yanked my ear a bit when I figured I’d just about had my fill. When I was about to give up.

And let’s not forget the most recent of all. When you gave me a hand when I was in a bit of a place.

So I’ve got a full respect of women and their challenges. But I also think because they have to rise above so much it gives them a unique position. I think it gives them the depth and strength and true grit to be the mothers or guides that everyone needs as they come around life’s curves. I think the weigh they carry helps keep them balanced in that. I think the world would be a lot flatter without that insight brought on by that.

So I’ll give you girls a solemn nod. And even a deep bow. You’ve got my respect. You’ve got it in full.

You’ve more than earned it.

Peace Obsidion. I hope your days are working out better for you lately. I know we all have our moments, hey? Keep at it. I’m pulling for you.

Your pal,

Trident
