I'm sick, I can't pay rent, and I don't know where to go

Thank you for all the continued prayers. I’ve also had a few people message me, and that has been nothing but positive as well. I am still not better, tomorrow is day 7 of my cold. I may also be embarking on a cross country road trip (10 hours, 670 miles). If I’m feeling up to it. But I think either tomorrow or Friday. I may take some DayQuil on the road.

Pray for my safety on the road. I’ll stay at a Benedictine monastery on the way, and they may be able to help me in this situation somewhat. I’m then going to visit a lay community. Hopefully it looks like the right fit, and God willing, I may be able to move there soon (real soon). If not, a number of priests and a Deacon from where I used to live should be able to help me.

I don’t enjoy being in dorr straights. But here I am. It is my hope that wherever I can go, I will find stability. I want to work through some issues of mine (depression, same-sex attraction, etc). And hopefully I’ll never be in such a desperate situation again. And, God willing, one day I will be able to help other people who are similarly lost and down on their luck. I fear it is many people in our society.

Upadate: Good News!
My priest who was my spiritual director has helped me out tremendously. I’m staying at a Retreat Center currently. And he was able to give me a substantial amount of money. Which should cover rent for the next 2 months. Hopefully sometime in March I’ll be able to move to this community I’m looking at and get a job there. If not, then hopefully I’ll be able to move in with a family somewhere and also get a job. Thanks for the prayers!

I might make a thread to update everyone that isn’t here. Um, I guess I won’t say no to continued prayers lol. Because I need them. But right now things are looking bright! I’m also no longer sick. It lingered for about 2 weeks. The rent situation is looking good. And the community thing is hopefully going to pan out. I’m at this retreat center waiting to be able to visit the community. Right now they’re unable to have me. So, maybe by like Feb. 28th/March 1st I’ll be able to visit there.
