I am happy to report better news. The worst of it is now over. Everyone is feeling better. All I’ve got left is a residual cough. I didn’t even catch the baby’s concurrent pink eye even though he slapped me in the eyes and mouth with no doubt infectious slobbery hands (Thanks be to the Lord!).

So it looks like I spoke too soon for myself. It got a lot worse in the ensuing days after I announced this. Last night, my left eardrum perforated from the infection and I’ve been in pain. There was lots of blood and fluid drainage. The ER doc put me on lots of meds and I have to see a specialist about hearing loss.
